Results for the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup.

The FIFA World Cup Round of 32 marks the beginning of the single-elimination knockout stage, which runs from June 28 to July 3. With the tournament now featuring 48 teams, the top two teams from each of the 12 groups, along with the eight best third-place teams, will move on to this round to compete for a place in the Round of 16.

✅     How does it work?

The single-elimination format introduces thrilling, sudden-death matches that require an immediate winner. For instance, if a game ends in a tie after 90 minutes of regular play, the teams will enter a 30-minute extra time period.  Moreover, should the score still be tied after extra time, the outcome will be determined by a penalty shootout.

The Round of 32 will continue until July 3, featuring matches throughout North America in cities such as Houston, Boston, Monterrey, Dallas, New York/New Jersey, Mexico City, Atlanta, Seattle, San Francisco Bay Area, Toronto, Vancouver, Miami, and Kansas City. Among the standout matchups are renowned international teams like Argentina, Brazil, Germany, France, and Spain. One game that promises to be especially thrilling is Croatia vs Portugal.  Former Real Madrid legends Luka Modrić and Cristiano Ronaldo will go head-to-head.

Serie A players will be part of the three nations hosting the 2026 World Cup: Mexico, Canada, and the United States. We’re thrilled to see two Serie A athletes representing Mexico: Genoa defender Johan Vásquez and AC Milan forward Santiago Giménez. From the USA, Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie and AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic are equally excited about making it to the Round of 32. Additionally, from Canada, we have Juventus forward Jonathan David and Sassuolo midfielder Ismaël Koné.
