Hello my friends. Here are the 2018-2019 Serie A Week 14 / Fourteenth Round on Saturday 1, Sunday 2, and Monday 3 December 2018.

The status quo in the Serie A leadership does not change. Juventus is the sole leader of the Serie A with 40 points. Juventus defeating Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi Stadium with a 0-3. Juventus reaching 13 wins and 1 draw this season.

The big duel between AS Roma and Inter ended with a 2-2 draw.   It is not the ideal result for Inter as they are pushing to catch up with Juventus while this single one point is a step back.    Roma wasted the chance to claim all 3 points at the Olimpico and now are rushing to gain more points to claim to the top 6 positions.

Serie A tickets

Napoli holding the second position after defeating  Atalanta. It is now clear that Napoli is serious to keep up a two-way race for the Scudetto.  Napoli having 32 points are -8 points below Juventus and having +3 points above Inter in the third position  with 29 points.

The relegation zone remaining the same.  Bologna, Frosinone and Chievo Verona are in the last 3 position of the Serie A Table.   It’s an urgent call for these 3 teams to wake up and smell the coffee and start fighting stronger to save themselves.

Hello my friends. Here are the 2018-2019 Serie A Week 13 / Thirteenth Round on Saturday 24, Sunday 25, and Monday 26 November 2018.

The status quo in the Serie A leadership does not change.  Juventus is the sole leader of the Serie A with 37 points.   Juventus defeating SPAL at the Allianz Stadium with a 2-0.   Juventus reaching 37 points having 12 wins and 1 draw this season.

The surprise is seeing AS Roma losing the away game at the Friuli Stadium.  Udinese beating Roma with a 1-0.    It’s a total blow for Roma having only 19 points which means being -20 points below Juventus!

Inter keeping up the race for the Scudetto after defeating Frosinone with a 3-0 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.  Inter reaching 28 points.   Frosinone remaining in the relegation zone in the 19th position with only 7 points.   Incredible so, Frosinone winning only 1 game this season while losing 8 and 4 draws.

Serie A tickets

Bad news is for AC Milan losing the 4th position after their 1-1 draw against Lazio at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.  Good news is for Lazio because their overtake Milan by taking away the 4th position and Milan going down to the 5th position.

As for the relegation zone, party is for Empoli because they are now out of it.   Empoli defeated Atalanta at the Carlo Castellani Stadium with a 3-2.   Empoli having now 12 points.  Bad news is for Bologna because they failed to defeat Fiorentina ending with a 0-0 draw at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium.  Bologna went down to the relegation zone in the 18th zone with 11 points.

The duel between Parma and Sassuolo ending with a victory for Parma.  A boost for the morale of the team because Parma now is in the 6th position within the European zone with 20 points.   Sassuolo is now in the 9th position with 19 points.

The nightmare is for AS Roma sinking below the “European zone”.  Udinese defeated Roma at the Friuli Stadium with a 1-0.  Roma went down to the 7th position with 17 points.

Italy Head Coach Roberto Macini has called up 27 players for the UEFA Nations League against Portugal on Saturday 17 November at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium and the friendly game against the United States of America (USA) on Tuesday 20 November at the “Luminus Arena” in Genk .   The two games will be played at 20:30 and will be broadcast live on Rai 1.  Among the news in the convocations of  Mancini

  • THE UEFA NATIONS LEAGUE – The new UEFA competitions features four categories, going from A to D. Italy are in League A which features the top 12 teams in the UEFA Ranking divided into four groups of three.

ITALY-PORTUGAL. There are 26 precedents between Italy and Portugal and the Azzurri have a clear advantage in the direct matches: 18 wins and 2 draws against only 6 losses, even if in the last two comparisons it was imposed Portugal (1-0) and the last Italian victory dates back to 6 February 2008 (3-1 in Zurich in a friendly). In the last 4 races in Milan with the Lusitanians there are 4 Italian victories. The one with Portugal will be the 58th Italian game in Milan, which puts Rome to the top of the ranking of the venues that have hosted the Azzurri several times. In the 57 matches played in Milan, Italy faced 23 opponents with a score of 37 wins, 18 draws and 2 losses and an average of 2.26 points per game (129 points in 57 races). The Azzurri have not lost in Milan for 93 years and are unbeaten in the 27 races disputed in the San Siro Stadium then “Meazza”. Among the previous ones in Milan, an Italy – Portugal played exactly 25 years ago, on November 17th 1993: a 1-0 blue victory with a goal by Dino Baggio.

ITALY-USA. There are 12 precedents between Italy and the United States, 3 of them in the World Cup Final Phase with a favorable coincidence: in 1934 and in 2006 Italy won the World Cup after facing the Americans.  Stats are 8 Italian wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat, in the last challenge in Genoa in 2012. Italy and USA will meet for the 6th time in the neutral field: so far 5 wins and 1 even for the Azzurri, who boast a +20 in the goal difference, thanks above all to the two big successes at the Olympics of 1948 and 1952 (17/0). For Italy it will be the first game in Genk.
