Brazil's Head Coach Carlo Ancelotti was unable to achieve victory against Cameroon at MetLife Stadium on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The World Cup Group C match between Brazil and Morocco ended in a 1-1 draw at halftime, with impressive plays from Saibari and Vinicius Jr in the 21st and 32nd minutes.

Brazil has not won its last two World Cup encounters with African teams (0-1 against Cameroon in 2022 and 1-1 against Morocco in this match), after previously winning their first seven matches against African opponents with a total score of 20-2.

Morocco enters the tournament as a highly regarded team, being one of the standout non-European and non-South American squads following their remarkable run to the semifinals in the 2022 World Cup. However, they are facing injury issues with Abdessamad Ezzalzouli and Noussair Mazraoui as they prepare for their opening match.

In the 21st minute  ⚽️  Ismael Saibari scored for Morocco with a right-footed shot from outside the box that found the center of the goal. The goal was assisted by Brahim Díaz. Saibari skillfully outmaneuvered goalkeeper Alisson with a lovely touch just under the bar, leaving two defenders in his wake and breaking the stalemate.

In the 32nd minute ⚽️ Goal by Vinícius Júnior equalized for @CBF_Futebol. Vinicius received the ball from Bruno Guimaraes, set up his own ball in the Moroccan penalty area, and leveled the score with an unstoppable right-footed shot.
