Morocco triumphed over Canada with a decisive 3-0 win in the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Houston Stadium. The final touch came in the 98th minute when Soufiane Rahimi scored a third goal during another swift break, sealing the victory.

Canada: Under the guidance of coach Jesse Marsch, Canada made history by securing their first knockout stage win in the Round of 32, triumphing over South Africa with a last-minute goal from Stephen Eustáquio, finishing 1-0.

Morocco: The Atlas Lions, currently ranked 6th in the world, advanced to the Round of 16 after a thrilling Round of 32 match, where they defeated the Netherlands 3-2 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw.

* Ismaël Koné experienced a broken leg (tibia-fibula fracture) during the second group match on June 18 against Qatar.
