👉🏆 💜⚜️ Mission accomplished! Fiorentina ended the UEFA Conference League Quarterfinal Second Leg with a draw on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy. Following a 2-1 victory in Slovenia, the second leg ended in a 2-2 draw. The aggregate score is of 4-3. Fiorentina has secured a spot in the UEFA Conference League Semifinal! This marks Fiorentina’s third consecutive semifinal appearance in the Conference League, where they will compete for a place in the final in Wroclaw against Betis Sevilla. Meanwhile, Celje’s remarkable European adventure concludes in the quarterfinals.
Fiorentina took the lead in the 37th minute when Rolando Mandragora found the back of the net with a right-footed shot into the bottom left corner, thanks to an assist from Marin Pongracic’s through ball. The crucial equalizer came just a minute after Celje’s initial goal, with Moise Kean scoring a precise right-footed shot past Ricardo Silva. Although the goal was initially ruled offside, VAR intervened and confirmed the goal, bringing the Viola back into contention. In the closing moments, Fiorentina had two more goals disallowed for offside: one from Ranieri’s tap-in into an empty net and another from Kean’s left-footed shot into the top corner. Ultimately, there was no danger for the Viola in the final moments, allowing them to celebrate with their fans.
