✅    Mexico and Ecuador ended the Copa America Group Stage Group B Matchday 3 with a goalless draw on Sunday 30 June 2024 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.   Ecuador advances to the Copa America Quarterfinal and Mexico is eliminated.  Ecuador needed only a draw due to its superior goal difference, while Mexico needed a victory to guarantee progression to the Round of 16.

✅    Mexico won the Copa America Group Stage Group B Matchday 1 against Jamaica on Saturday 22 June 2024 at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.  Mexico and Jamaica playing for the 33rd time in their history.  This is the first time since 2016 that Mexico and Jamaica are competing in the Copa America. Jamaica has never won a match at the Copa America.  Mexico’s best-ever performance in the Copa America came in 1993, when it finished runners-up to Argentina.
