Giovani Lo Celso and Lautaro Martínez found the net for Argentina in the first half, while substitute Mousa Al-Tamari managed to score for Jordan. Lionel Messi then capped off the match with a late free kick, securing the 3-1 win. As the defending champions, Argentina progressed to the Round of 32, where they will face Cape Verde in Miami. Meanwhile, Jordan, making their tournament debut, was eliminated after failing to secure a win in the group stage. A notable moment in the match was when Jordan's captain Ehsan Haddad delivered a precise cross into the box, allowing Mousa Al-Taamari to score and reduce the deficit.

In the 55th minute, Mohammad Al Tamari scored, reducing the deficit after receiving a pass from Haddad in the middle and sliding the ball past Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano "Dibu" Martinez. The Rennes midfielder reignited hope for his team.
