The battle for the Scudetto is a mission.  AC Milan win the Serie A Week 29 game defeating Empoli at the San Siro Stadium.   Milan remain in the 1st position reaching 63 points thanks to the goal by Pierre Kalulu.  It was not an easy win.  Empoli battled having a couple of chances to bring home three key points for the run-up to the Scudetto. The Rossoneri resisted. On Week 29, Milan will face Cagliari at the Unipol Domus and Empoli will host Hellas Verona.

Napoli with a sprint race for the Scudetto defeated Hellas Verona with a brace by Victor Osimhen at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. Napoli reached 60 points being -3 points below AC Milan with 63 points. This is the tenth away win for Napoli and the eighth consecutive useful result away from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.  Verona remain at 41 and sees the European area of the standings move away. In the next round Hellas Verona will be engaged in Empoli, Napoli will host Udinese instead.Hellas Verona ended with 9 players after Referee Sacchi gave a red card  🟥 to  83′ Federico Ceccherini  and 98′ Marco Davide Faraoni.

Inter believe in the Scudetto grabbing a late goal.  Torino and Inter share 1 point each after ending the game with a draw at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium.  A point each that brings Inter to 59 points, four points behind the leaders Milan, but with a game to recover. Torino instead goes to 35. In the next round, the Torino will challenge Genoa, while Inter will play at home against Fiorentina.

Sampdoria defeated at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.  Juventus remain within the Champions League zone. Maya Yoshida’s own goal and Álvaro Morata’s brace give Juventus three points, Abdelhamid Sabiri’s first Sampdoria goal is useless. After the 30 October defeat against Verona, Juventus have remained unbeaten in their last eight league away games (5W, 3D) and have not done better since the period December 2017-March 2019 when, still under Massimiliano Allegri, they even reached 26 away games in a row without defeat.

Lazio defeated Venezia at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium. The victory helped Lazio to climb to the 5th position while Venezia remain in the relegation zone. Lazio ahead of Atalanta and Roma. Venezia against the fourth consecutive penalty continue to postpone the victory, despite a tactically dignified match. On Week 30, Lazio will play the derby against AS Roma while Venezia will play for safety in the direct clash against Sampdoria.

Udinese almost got a victory!   Udinese took the lead and in the 94th minute Roma draw at the Dacia Arena.  Roma reached 48 points paired with Atalanta who did not go beyond the draw with Genoa.  Udinese reach 30 points.   The news is that Udinese finally scored after 282 minutes against Roma in the league, or since Ilija Nestorovski’s goal on 2/7/2020: in that case, however, the Friulians won 2-0 at the Olimpico.

Spezia with a precious home victory defeating Cagliari at the Alberto Picco Stadium.  Spezia finds the smile and the success after a row of four consecutive defeats.   The direct confrontation is celebrated by Spezia Coach Thiago Motta.  Cagliari builds little throughout the game and collects the second setback in a row in the league without scoring.   Cagliari remain at 25 points, while Salernitana reached 29 points.  In the next round, Spezia will face Sassuolo away while Cagliari will host AC Milan.

Salernitana managed to earn 1 point after the draw against Sassuolo at the Arechi Stadium.   Sassuolo reaching 40 points in the standings, grenade who remain last at 16, two points away from Genoa. Salernitana has failed to win in the last nine Serie A home games, drawing all the last three: for the Campania region it is both the longest series of home games without success, and the longest one with consecutive home draws in the top flight.

Fiorentina defeated Bologna winning the Derby dell’Apennino at the Artemio Franchi Stadium in Florence, Italy. Fiorentina monologue in the second half with many opportunities created. This is a well-deserved victory signed by Lucas Torreira. Bologna outnumbered for more than once (Bonifazi sent off in the 41st minute) but too passive, they close the 90 minutes with two woods (in the first fraction) and zero shots on target. On the thirtieth round, Fiorentina will visit Inter while Bologna team will host Atalanta.
