Napoli conquered San Siro Stadium defeating AC Milan.  Big flop for Milan with 14 points dropping from the 3rd position to the 5th position.  Napoli kept the 1st position reaching 17 points same points as Atalanta. In the second half, it was Matteo Politano who broke the deadlock, with a penalty for a foul by Dest on Kvaratskhelia. Olivier Giroud equalized, but it is Giovanni Simeone who ends the game with a headed goal. Kalulu’s cross in the final minutes.  In the next round, Napoli will host Torino, while Milan will go to Empoli.

Major victory for Atalanta against AS Roma to keep up the battle for the leadership at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.    Atalanta reached 17 points while Roma remain with 13 points.    Gasperini proposes a light attack due to the unavailability of Zapata keeping Muriel out. Pellegrini relegated to the median in place of Matic. Roma Coach José Mourinho got a red card in the 57th minute for excessive protesting. Numerous occasions for the Giallorossi: two for Tammy Abraham, Ibanez and Shomurodov. Yet, the ball did not find its way to the goal.  In the next round, Roma will play the away match against Inter, Atalanta will play at home against Fiorentina.

Another flop is Inter defeated by Udinese after having the lead in the 5th minute thanks to Nicolò Barella’s perfect free-kick. Udinese equalized in the 22nd minute with Pereyra’s free-kick deflected into his goal by Skriniar. In the second half, Inter started better and in the 55th minute Edin Dzeko saw a goal canceled for an offside position. Sottil’s team returned to the charge and in the 73rd minute hit the post with Deulofeu, an assist man on the occasion of the goal that gave the Bianconeri the lead in the 84th minute. Corner of the Spaniard, Bijol anticipates everyone and beats Handanovic. At 93 ‘another assist from Deulofeu and another header, this time from Arslan, to definitively close the game at 3-1. It’s the fifth consecutive victory for Udinese. Third defeat in the last four league games for Inter, going down to the 7th position with 12 points.

Lecce defeated Salernitana at the Arechi Stadium. Salernitana returning from the controversial draw  against Juventus failed to claim this home victory after five useful results.  The party is all for Lecce with an important away victory and their first win this season. Salernitana getting now four losts (Inter, Sassuolo and Turin). Ceesay opens, then Gonzalez’s own goal and the winning goal signed by Strefezza.

What a slap for Juventus defeated by Monza, who were in the last position!!   Monza reached 4 points and winning their first game this season and you bet this is a prestigious victory.  Juventus with their first defeat in the league after the two Champions League.  The fact is that Massimiliano Allegri is in very serious difficulty and great confusion.  Making matters worst, betrayed by Angel Di Maria who, with a gesture as naive as he is violent, gets expelled in the first half, laying the foundations for Monza’s feat. Palladino smiles, who guesses the entry of match-winner Gytkjaer and gets his debut in Serie A with a top victory.

Tough debut for new Bologna Coach Thiago Motta losing against Empoli at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium. A goal by Filippo Bandinelli in the second half of the match was enough to give Empoli their first win this season. Bandinelli’s goal is worth 3 precious points reaching 7 points while Bologna remain with 6 points. Bologna battled and might complain given the two poles hit by Marko Arnautović and Zirkzee deny the draw and Bologna stops their run after three consecutive useful results. Surely, the party is all for Empoli grabbing this important away victory.

The Ligurian Derby is all for Spezia overturning the result after defeating Sampdoria at the Alberto Picco Stadium. Gotti’s men play better, with more quality, and deserve the win obtaining their second win this season. Spezia reached 8 points in the standings, Sampdoria that has not yet captured a victory this season remain in the relegation zone with just 2 points.  In the next round, Spezia will visit Lazio, while Sampdoria will see it at home against Monza.

Torino defeated in extremist by Sassuolo at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium.  What a slap!  Torino conceded this late goal just minutes before ending the game. The party is for Sassuolo claiming the 3 points reaching 9 points. A perfect move with Sassuolo Coach Dionisi with the wild card from the bench: Alvarez enters and a few seconds before the end, in full recovery, signs the goal to return to win after four rounds. Torino dominated possession chew bitter for the lack of incisiveness in attack and the lack of attention after the game is over.  In the next round, Torino will visit Napoli while Dionisi’s boys will host Salernitana.
