Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
AC Milan, 5th position with 17 points and a positive goal difference of +7
Juventus, 7th position with 13 points and a positive goal difference of +7

AC Milan with a sprint race win the Serie A Week 9 game against Juventus on Saturday 8 October 2022 at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy. Juventus suffered this major lost remaining below the 6th position.  Milan with  a convincing victory reached 20 points. Spectacular match and the technical superiority of Pioli’s team is clear. Milik and Vlahovic make a mistake, Leao hits two posts and warns Juve that collapses between the two halves: Tomori unlocks it from a corner amid protests by Juventus for an alleged foul on Juan Cuadrado not recognized by Referee Orsato, then magic by Diaz in opening of recovery closes the accounts. Juve’s reaction with Milik devouring the 1-2 and in the final with Kean was late and sterile.

On the tenth day, AC Milan will visit Hellas Verona while Allegri’s team is expected for the Turin derby.

AC Milan opened the score before ending the first half in the 45+1 minute. Fikayo Tomori scored from very close range with a left-footed shot to the high center. The assist is by Olivier Giroud following a corner conceded by Danilo.

It’s all a rossonero party. AC Milan increased the score for the 2-0 in the 54th minute. Brahim Díaz scored with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner.

Inter battled fiercely and win the Serie A Week 9 game against Sassuolo on Saturday 8 October 2022 at the Mapei Stadium in Empoli, Italy.  This victory relaunches Inter in the league reaching 15 points. Napoli keep the 1st position  with 20 points after defeating Torino at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.   Torino remain with 10 points. This is the sixth consecutive victory between the Serie A and the Champions League for Napoli. A third defeat in a row, however, for Torino, after the knockouts with Inter and Sassuolo. Napoli took the lead in the 6th minute with Anguissa scoring his first Serie A goal and doubling in the 12th minute. In the 37th minute, the Neapolitans reached 3-0 with a similar action but on the opposite side, which began with Zielinski’s launch into space and ended with the conclusion of Kvaratskhelia. Torino shortened the distance in the 43rd minute with Antonio Sanabria.

Atalanta defeated Fiorentina at the Gewiss Stadium.  Atalanta reached 20 points, a sum they had never reached after the first eight seasonal matches in a single season in Serie A, and returned to the top of the table in the company of Napoli also with 20 points.  It is a special victory for Atalanta Coach Gian Piero Gasperini because he reached Mondonico with 299 matches on the Nerazzurri bench at the top of the all-time coaching table in the history of the Club.  It’s the third 1-0 of the season and fifth clean sheet for Gasperini’s men, who are confirmed as impenetrable in defense. On the other hand, it is the third defeat in the league for Fiorentina (all away).

AC Milan defeated Empoli in extremis at the Carlo Castellani Stadium  This is a precious victory for Milan claiming all 3 points to climb towards the top 3 positions.  Milan with 17 points are -3 points below Napoli with 20 points. A 3-1 more complicated than expected and solved only in the crazy final minutes. The goals from Ballo-Toure in the 94th minute and Leao in the 97th minute secured Milan’s victory. Three goals in the last five minutes of extra time. A crazy night that allows Pioli to redeem himself after the knockout against Napoli.

Udinese defeated Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. Verona remain with only 5 points in the relegation zone. Udinese made a comeback to win this away game and remain in the 3rd position reaching 19 points to be -1 point below Napoli and Atalanta having 20 points each. Top result for Udinese winning 6 out of 8 games. A slap for Hellas Verona, it is a black crisis with their third consecutive defeat in the league.

Roma caused an upset by defeating Inter at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.  Roma with ex-Inter Coach Mourinho suspended for this game can only smile with this important away victory.  The last time Roma defeated Inter in Serie A dates back to February 26, 2017 (1-3 at the Meazza). Paulo Dybala and Chris Smalling light up the Roma party at San Siro. After the initial disadvantage signed by Federico Di Marco, Roma managed to react. Roma is temporarily in third place in the standings. Inter collapse in their second consecutive defeat.

Juventus defeated Bologna at the Juventus Stadium.  Juventus reached 13 points climbing to the 7th position.  Bologna, on the other hand, suffered their fourth defeat in eight days, in which only 6 points have been gained in 8 games.  In the next round, Juventus will play at San Siro against AC Milan, while Bologna will host Sampdoria.

Sassuolo conquered an extraordinary victory crushing Salernitana at the Mapei Stadium.  This is the second consecutive success for Sassuolo reaching 12 points and joining Inter.  Sassuolo climbed from the 11th to the 8th position.  Salernitana collapsed after the internal knockout against Lecce and remain with 7 points.  Salernitana comes from five consecutive away draws in Serie A: the only two teams to have recorded a longer streak of this type in the three-point-a-win era (since 1994/95) were Inter in 2004 and Lazio. in 2016 (both reached six).
