Lazio with a sprint race to win the Serie A Week 9 game to remain within the European zone on Monday 10 October 2022 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy.  Lazio trashed Fiorentina with four goals, fourth consecutive victory and second 4-0 in a row for Maurizio Sarri’s team. Lazio have kept a clean sheet in their last two league games against Fiorentina and have not done better against this opponent since 2013-2015, when they recorded four consecutive clean sheets against the Viola. Lazio have conceded only five goals in this league: in the era of three points to win, only in 2001/02 (five) the biancocelesti had collected so few goals after the first eight Serie A matches of the season – in that case they did not concede goals not even in the ninth game.
