Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Spezia, 15th position with 8 points and a negative goal difference of -10
Cremonese, 19th position with 3 points and a negative goal difference of -12

Spezia and Cremonese share the spoils after ending the Serie A Week 10 game with a draw on Sunday 16 October 2022 at the Alberto Picco Stadium in Spezia, Italy. Spezia reached 9 points and in the next match will face Salernitana away from home. Cremonese reached 4 points and the next match will be the home match against Sampdoria. The first half played with great intensity by both teams, with the match that is released immediately thanks to the fastest goal scored by Cremonese in Serie A in the 61st second by Cyriel Dessers. Spezia does not break down and overturns the game thanks to the goals of Nzola and Holm, with the first concluding with power from the edge of the area after a restart, while the second hits on the developments of a corner kick. In the second half, Cremonese starts better and finds the equalizer with a header from Pickel served perfectly by Sernicola in the center of the area.

Cremonese opened the score in less than 2 minutes! Cyriel Dessers defeated Spezia goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski from very close range with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Luka Lochoshvili

✅  Stats before the game. Spezia have won in all their last six Serie B home games against Cremonese, scoring a total of 12 goals and conceding only four (the latest victory in chronological order is the 3-2 at the Peak on 11 February 2020, in who scored Maggiore, Di Gaudio and Nzola for the hosts, Claiton and Parisians for the guests). Spezia have lost – without finding the way to score – their last two league games and have never collected three defeats in a row without scoring in Serie A. Cremonese comes from two consecutive draws away from home against Atalanta and Lecce (both 1-1): the grigiorossa team has never collected three draws in a row away from home in its history in Serie A. Spezia have collected eight points so far (one more than the seven scored in the first nine games of the last championship): with a victory they would reach 11 points and improve their best score in the first 10 matches of the season in Serie A (10 points obtained with Italian driving in 2020/21).

A narrow victory for Empoli thanks to Haas’ goal, brings home three heavy points. A balanced match that saw Monza pushing especially in the final minutes, but the Tuscan defense and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario’s saves did not collapse the wall. In the last minutes there are protests from Brianza for a penalty not granted to Birindelli and then the red card in the 95th minute to Nicolò Rovella for a shot to Marin with the ball far away.

Juventus win the  “Derby della Mole number 205” to claim the bragging rights to rule in Turin at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium. Juventus got these three points meaning a sign of relief during these moments of difficulty. Inter is back winning the second match in a row in the league after the one against Sassuolo. For Inzaghi it is the fourth consecutive useful result also counting the challenges with Barcelona in the Champions League. For Salernitana new stop after the victory with Verona.

AC Milan beat Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium. In the standings, Hellas Verona remain at 5 points with the fifth consecutive defeat while Milan climb from the 5th to 3rd place with 23 points.   Milan conquered the Bentegodi thanks to Sandro Tonali’s decisive goal in the final after the first half ended in a draw, due to the own goal by Miguel Veloso and the goal by Gunter. Milan for the first time in its history would collect at least seven wins in the first 10 matches of a Serie A championship for three consecutive seasons (in 2020/21 eight wins in the top 10, in 2021/22 nine wins in the top 10).

AS Roma caused an upset defeating Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.  Sampdoria are crying out loud for help remaining in the last position with only 3 points.  Good news is for Roma because they climbed from the 6th to the 4th position reaching 22 points just -4 points below Napoli with 26 in the first position.
