Salernitana still living a nightmare after losing the Serie A Week 11 game Salernitana vs Napoli on Saturday 4 November 2023 at the Arecchi Stadium in Spezia, Italy. Napoli conquered the Arechi and the Derby. Thanks to this victory, Napoli climbed to fourth place, overtaking Atalanta who will soon play against Inter. Salernitana, however, remained last with 4 points in the standings.

A goal in each half gives the three points to Garcia’s Napoli: in the 13th minute comes the opening goal scored by Raspadori, who is served in the area by Lobotka and concludes towards the left corner beating Ochoa. The doubling goal came in the 82nd minute with Elmas who was served on the left front, entered the area and moved the ball to the right with a feint, then finished on goal by passing the ball under the hands of the Mexican goalkeeper.

Napoli opened the score in the 13th minute. Giacomo Raspadori defeated Salernitana goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa with a right-footed shot to the center. The assist is by Stanislav Lobotka.

The second goal arrived in the 82nd minute. Eljif Elmas scored with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Mathías Olivera.

✅  Stats before the game: Napoli are unbeaten against Salernitana in Serie A, thanks to three wins and three draws in six matches: the Neapolitans have played more matches in the competition without ever losing, only against Cesena (26). Salernitana’s last championship success against Napoli dates back to 24 November 2002 in Serie B (2-0), since then they have achieved three draws and four defeats, failing to find a goal on four occasions. After the 3-3 draw in November 1947, Salernitana no longer scored in the next two home matches against Napoli in Serie A: in total they did not find the net in 67% of their home games against the Neapolitans in the competition (two out of three) , only against Juventus and Roma (75%) did he record a higher percentage (67% also against Atalanta). Salernitana have not won any of their last 11 championship matches and without a victory against Napoli they would establish their negative record of consecutive matches without success in Serie A (11 also between January and April 2022). Napoli is the team that has scored the most away goals in this championship (12); however, including the end of last season, the Neapolitans have not found success in five of their last eight Serie A away games (D4, L1), after having won all the previous eight. Salernitana have not won any of their five home games in this Serie A (3N, 2L), conceding an average of 2.2 goals per game (11 in total); the Campania team ended last championship with three successes in the last four matches against Arechi (1D), with 1.3 goals conceded on average.

SALERNITANA (4-2-3-1): Ochoa; Mazzocchi, Fazio, Pirola, Bradaric; Legowski; Coulibaly; Tchaouna, Candreva, Dia; Ikwuemesi.

NAPOLI (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Ostigard, Olivera; Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Raspadori, Kvaratskhelia.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game
Lazio, 7h position with 16 points and a positive goal difference of +1
Bologna, 8th position with 15 points and a positive goal difference of +3

Bologna won the Serie A Week 11 game defeating Lazio on Friday 3 November 2023 at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, Italy.  This is the 10th consecutive useful result for Bologna. With this victory, Thiago Motta’s team rose to provisional sixth place in the standings (18 points). The bad news is for Lazio because they collected their fifth knockout in this championship, remaining on 16 points.

In the next, Bologna will play the away game against Fiorentina. Lazio will play the home game against AS Roma, but in the Derby della Capitale that can already be worth a lot in the season.

Bologna opened the score in the 46th minute, just starting the second half. It is Lewis Ferguson to defeat Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Joshua Zirkzee.

✅   Stats before the game: Lazio remained unbeaten in 18 of the last 20 matches against Bologna in the top flight (10W, 8D), although the two defeats in the set came in the three most recent away matches against the rossoblù: 27 February 2021 (0-2 ) and October 3, 2021 (0-3). Bologna have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three home games against Lazio in Serie A, recording two wins and a draw: in their history they have never achieved more consecutive clean sheets at home against the Biancocelesti in the competition. Lazio is the team against which Bologna has scored the most goals in Serie A (187), while on the other hand, the Biancocelesti have scored 196 goals against the Rossoblù in the competition, only against Fiorentina have they scored more ( 207). Bologna have not lost any of their last nine league games (W3, D6), the last time they remained unbeaten in 10 games in a row in Serie A was between December 1979 and March 1980, with Marino Perani on the bench. Lazio have won all of their last three championship matches, after having achieved only two successes in the first seven played in 2023/24 (1D, 4L); the last time the Biancocelesti recorded four victories in a row in Serie A was last April. Bologna have lost just one of their last 12 home games in Serie A (W5, D6) – against Milan on 21 August – and have kept a clean sheet in half of those games, including two of their last three.

👉Lineup Bologna (4-2-3-1): Skourpski; Posch, Beukema, Calafiori, Lykogiannis; Freuler, Aebischer; Orsolini, Ferguson, Saelemaekers; Zirkzee.

👉Lineup Lazio (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari, Romagnoli, Patric, Marusic; Guendouzi, Rovella, Luis Alberto; Felipe Anderson, Castellanos, Pedro.

👉    Hello, my friends. Here are the 2023-2024 Italian Serie A Serie A Week 10 RESULTS / Tenth Round on Friday 27, Saturday 28, Sunday 29, and Monday 30 October 2023.  The battle for the Scudetto is a three-way race.   Inter lead with 25 points after defeating AS Roma with a goal by Marcus Thuram.  Juventus with 23 points are in the 2nd position after defeating Hellas Verona.  AC Milan are in the 3rd position with 22 points after their 2-2 draw with Napoli.  We might say the draw is more a victory for Napoli and a failure for Milan because they were leading 2-0 at the Maradona until Napoli made a comeback to equalize for the 2-2.

The match with more goals this week was Cagliari 4 – 3 Frosinone.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Lazio, 9th position with 13 points and a positive goal difference of +0
Fiorentina, 6th position with 17 points and a positive goal difference of +5

Lazio won in extremis the Serie A Week 10 on Monday 30 October 2023 at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium in Rome, Italy. Three fundamental points for Lazio, which overtakes Rome and Bologna, climbing to seventh place in the standings, one point behind Fiorentina and three behind fourth-placed Atalanta. Second consecutive defeat without scoring in the championship, however, for the Italian team, which remains at 17 ponts. Lazio have won six of their last eight Serie A matches against Fiorentina (1N, 1L), against no opponent have they recorded more successes in the same period (since 2019/20) – six also against Sassuolo, Spezia and Sampdoria.

Saved by a miracle! Lazio claimed the victory in the 95th minute. Captain CIro Immobile converted a penalty with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The penalty is conceded by Nikola Milenkovic following a handball in the penalty area.

Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel received the “Felice Pulici” Award before the game.

Stats before the game: Fiorentina have not won any of their last seven Serie A away games against Lazio (D2, L5), the last time they recorded a longer run of away games without success against the Biancocelesti was between May 1989 and March 1997 ( eight). Fiorentina is the team against which Lazio has both achieved the most victories (58 in 148 previous matches) and scored the most goals (207) in its history in Serie A. Lazio have won six of the last 10 Serie A matches against opponents in the top five positions in the table at the start of the day (4P), even if they have lost the two most recent ones (against Juventus and Milan): the Biancocelesti have not found three consecutive defeats in this type of races in the competition from April 2021. Fiorentina have won eight of the last 13 league matches (D3, D2), between the end of the 2022/23 season and the current tournament; however, after the knockout in the last round against Empoli, Viola can lose two games in a row in Serie A for the first time since last February (against Bologna and Fiorentina).
