Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Napoli, 4th position with 17 points and a positive goal difference of +10
AC Milan, 3rd position with 21 points and a positive goal difference of +7

The big test for Napoli and AC Milan in the Serie A Week 10 game ended with a draw on Sunday 29 October 2023 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples, Italy.  Napoli are -4 points below AC Milan. It’s a good result for Napoli after being down by 2 goals. The regret should be for AC Milan who failed to keep the +2 lead scored by French forward Olivier Giroud.  AC Milan remained in the 3rd position with 22 points being -1 point below Juventus in the 2nd position with 23 points and -3 points below Inter in the 1st position with 25 points.

AC Milan opened the score in the 23rd minute. Forward Olivier Giroud defeated Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret from very close range with a headed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by “Captain America” Christian Pulisic.

Total blast for Napoli! AC Milan with a brace by Olivier Giroud in the 31st minute!! Giroud scored with a headed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Davide Calabria.

Napoli shortened the distance in the 51st minute. Matteo Politano defeated AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan with a left footed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

Napoli equalized in the 63rd minute. Giacomo Raspadori scored with a right-footed free kick shot to the bottom right corner.

Stats before the game: Napoli have remained unbeaten in six of their last nine league matches against Milan (3W, 3D), however lost the most recent match (0-4 on 2 April); the last time they were defeated in two consecutive matches against the Rossoneri in Serie A dates back to February 2011, with Walter Mazzarri on the bench. Milan have won their last three Serie A away games against Napoli and in their history they have never recorded more consecutive successes on the pitch than the Neapolitans in the top flight. Napoli have won on three of the last four occasions in which they faced Milan with fewer points in the standings at the start of the day (17 compared to the Rossoneri’s 21 in the current tournament), the most recent dating back to 19 December 2021, a 1-0 signed by Elif Elmas; this partial was completed by a success for the Lombard team on 22 November 2020 (3-1). Despite the defeat against Juventus in the last round, Milan have won seven of the first nine matches of this championship and could achieve at least eight successes in the top 10 in a single Serie A season for the third time in the last four major tournaments, many times as many as had happened in the previous 63.

Inter won the Serie A Week 10 game on Sunday 29 October 2023 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in Milan, Italy. ✅  Stats before the game: Inter have remained unbeaten in 11 of the last 12 league matches against Roma (5W, 6D), winning four of the most recent five: the Giallorossi’s only success in the period dates back to the first leg of last season’s championship, the 1st October 2022 (2-1 with goals from Dybala and Smalling, Dimarco for the Nerazzurri).

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Monza, 11th position with 12 points and a positive goal difference of +0
Udinese, 18th position with 6 points and a negative goal difference of -8

Monza and Udinese ended the Serie A Week 10 game with a draw on Sunday 29 October 2023 at the U-Power Stadium in Monza, Italy. Monza joined Lecce and Lazio on 13 points, with the latter playing tomorrow evening. Udinese, however, joined Empoli on 7 points in 17th place, with the Tuscan team hosting Atalanta tomorrow.Last day, the last with Sottil on the bench, saw the Friulians suffer the equalizer from Piccoli in the 83rd minute. The teams led by Raffaele Palladino and Gabriele Cioffi compete today, with the latter making his debut today and taking over from Andrea Sottil.

Monza is having a good championship so far, with 12 points won in nine games. During the last day against Roma, the Brianza team only raised the white flag in the 90th minute, when El Shaarawy converted the 3-point goal. Also noteworthy is the expulsion of D’Ambrosio who will be absent today due to disqualification.

Monza opened the score in the 27th minute. Andrea Colpani defeated Udinese goalkeeper Marco Silvestri with a right-footed shot to the bottom right corner. The assist is by Giorgos Kyriakopoulos.

Image

Udinese equalized in the 66th minute. Lorenzo Lucca defeated Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Christian Kabasele.

✅   Stats before the game: Four of the last five matches between Monza and Udinese between Serie A and B have ended in draws (between 1979 and 2023) – the only exception being a victory for the Friulian team, 2-1 on 26 August 2022, with the goals by Beto and Udogie. Udinese have won only one of their last 19 Serie A away games against Lombardy opponents (7N, 11P); however, the success came in the only one of these played against Monza, in August 2022. Monza remained unbeaten in five of the six home matches against Udinese between Serie A and B (3W, 2D), however the only defeat in the set came in the only previous home match in the top division against the Friulians, in August 2022. Monza is one of the two teams, together with Milan, with maximum points against opponents currently in the bottom half of the table in the current tournament: three successes out of three for the Brianza team in these matches.  Udinese have never won in their last 13 Serie A matches (6N, 7P): it is the longest open streak without success among the Serie A teams also present in the last championship and the longest streak of the Friulians in the top tournament since 14 matches in a row under the management of Oddo and Tudor, between February and May 2018. Considering the previous 15 Serie A seasons (from 2008/09 to 2022/23), eight of the nine teams that did not achieve a single success in the first nine championship matches were then relegated at the end of the tournament (the only exception being Crotone 2016/ 17).

👉 Lineup Monza (3-4-2-1): Di Gregorio; A. Carboni, Pablo Marí, Caldirola; Ciurria, Gagliardini, Pessina, Kyriakopoulos; Colpani, Vignato; Colombo.

👉 Lineup Udinese (3-5-1-1): Silvestri; Perez, Bijol, Kabasele; Festy, Samardzic, Walace, Payero, Zemura; Pereyra; Success.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Hellas Verona, 16th position with 8 points and a negative goal difference of -5
Juventus, 3rd position with 20 points and a positive goal difference of +9

Juventus take the 1st position following their win in the Serie A Week 10 game against Hellas Verona on Saturday 28 October 2023 at the Allianz Stadium in Verona, Italy. This victory gave Juventus, temporarily, the first place, obviously waiting for the Milanese matches, 123 games after the last time. Surely, this was a suffered victory. Juventus monologue broke the deadlock with Moise Kean, but the Juventus striker was slightly offside at the start of the action. Kean himself and Dusan Vlahovic come close to taking the lead on several occasions while Verona scares Szczesny at the end of the first half with Bonazzoli.

In the second half, there was a real siege by Allegri’s men, Referee Feliciani canceled another goal to Kean with the help of VAR but in the 96th minute Andrea Cambiaso resolved a melee after a Milik post and gave Juve the temporary top-of-the-table

Juventus got their only winning goal in the 96th minute. Andrea Cambiaso defeated Hellas Verona goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipò from very close range with a right-footed shot to the center.

Image

✅  Stats before the game: Juventus have won all the last three Serie A matches against Verona, keeping a clean sheet in each of these; the Bianconeri could score four consecutive wins against the Gialloblù for the second time in the tournament, after the period between 1989 and 1992.  Juventus have only failed to score in one of their last 29 Serie A matches against Verona (in the 0-2 defeat at the Bentegodi on 04/30/2000, with a brace from Fabrizio Cammarata) and have scored 20 goals: only against Lazio (22) and Turin (25), the Bianconeri boast a longer open streak of consecutive games with goals scored, considering the teams present in the 2023/24 Serie A.  Verona have never won in the 32 matches played at Juventus in Serie A – five draws and 27 defeats for the Scaligeri in Piedmont – against any team have the Gialloblù played more away matches in the top tournament without winning (32 also against Milan and Inter). Furthermore, among the teams faced at least 10 times away from home, Juventus is the one against which Verona has recorded the highest percentage of defeats in the competition (84%, 27/32).  Juventus have not conceded a goal in their last two home league games, as many clean sheets as those put together by the Bianconeri in their previous nine home Serie A games; furthermore, since the first match at the Allianz Stadium (2011/12), the Piedmontese have kept a clean sheet 119 times (in 232 matches, 51%): only Atlético Madrid have done better at home (125/ 232) in the five major European leagues in the period.

👉 Lineup JUVENTUS: Szczesny, Gatti, Bremer, Rugani, Weah, McKennie, Locatelli, Rabiot, Kostic, Kean, Vlahovic

👉 Lineup HELLAS VERONA: Montipò, Magnani, Dawidowicz, Terracciano, Faraoni, Folorunsho, Hongla, Duda, Doig, Bonazzoli, Djuric
