The dream is alive, and anything is possible!
While four of the eight teams in the quarter-finals have already lifted the Trophy – Argentina (three titles), France (two), and England and Spain (one each) – the other four are still chasing their first world title. Belgium and Morocco have never made it past the semi-finals, and Switzerland last reached the quarter-finals during their home World Cup in 1954. Norway has never gone beyond the Round of 16 before. This 2026 tournament could see a new nation take home the trophy for the first time since Spain won it in 2010.
