AC Milan making an incredible comeback.  AC Milan win the Serie A Week 8 game defeating Hellas Verona with the own goal by Verona player Koray Günter on Saturday 16 October 2021 at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy.  Milan were down 0-2 and in the second half overturning the result. Milan, at least today,  are  in the 1st position reaching 22 points.  Napoli can take back the first position if they defeat Torino on Sunday.  Napoli so far winning all 7 games.

After losing two straight games against Verona in the league between 2016 and 2017, Milan remained unbeaten in the next five against Hellas Verona in Serie A, in which they achieved three wins and two draws.  In 29 Serie A home games against Verona, Milan have never lost: 16 wins and 13 draws: only against Inter and Juventus have the yellow-blues played more away games without ever winning in the tournament (30 against both).   Milan have scored 19 points in this league, in the era of three points per victory after eight games they did better only in 2003/04 and 2020/21 (20 points on both occasions).  Milan have won all their first three home games of this championship and have not achieved four wins in their first four Serie A home games since 2005/06.

Bam! Surprisingly, it is Hellas Verona to open the score in the 7th minute. Gianluca Caprari defeating AC Milan goalkeeper Tătărușanu with a right footed shot to the bottom left corner. The headed assist is by Miguel Veloso.

Referee Prontera giving a penalty to Hellas Verona. In the 24th minute, Hellas Verona increasing the score for the 0-2 with Antonin Barak converting a penalty with a left footed shot to the bottom right corner. The penalty is conceded by Alessio Romagnoli after a foul on Nikola Kalinic.
