What a game! Inter claiming a poker victory at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium to secure the 5th position. However, this awaited Sampdoria – Inter had extra emotion because there was the confrontation between the two ex Argentinian teammates Maximo Lopez and Mauro Icardi. The whole thing because Inter forward Icardi is going out now with the Wanda Nara the ex wife of Sampdoria forward Maxi Lopez. By the way, Wanda was not at the Stadium.
Icardi whistled by some of his ex fans who are loyal to Lopez. The duel Icardi-Lopez seeing as winner Icardi who scored two goals in the 13th and 63rd minute while Lopez failed to convert a penalty in the 18th minute. Before the game, Lopez even refused to shake hands with Icardi and ignored him turning his eyes to the other side.
Here is the thing with an all Argentinian goal. It is Sampdoria forward Mauro Icardi to open the score in the 13th minute. The assist by Argentinian forward Rodrigo Palacio to his fellow teammate Icardi defeating Sampdoria goalkeeper Junior Costa with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner. A painful goal for Sampdoria fans and players. Making matters worst, Referee Valeri giving a yellow card to Sampdoria defender Andrea Costa who was in the bench among the substitutes after insulting forward Icardi for his goal celebration.
The climax arriving in the 17th minute when Referee Valeri gives a penalty to Sampdoria. The moment for Sampdoria to equalize and the duel between Icardi-Lopez gaining momentum. The penalty conceded by Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia for a foul on Sampdoria defender Daniele Gastaldello. Well, fans rooting for Lopez when he walks towards the penalty spot. An anxious moment and the time to level the score. Yet, the unthinkable happened. What?! Well, hello, hello Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic saving Lopez’ right footed shot in the bottom left corner! Can you imagine the frustration? Wow, now, Lopez had to continue battle.
In the 60th minute, Inter increasing the score following a corner conceded by Sampdoria midfielder Nenad Krsticic. Again, an all Argentinian goal….. The assist by forward Rodrigo Palacio towards the center where defender Walter Samuel was ready for the headed shot defeating Sampdoria goalkeeper Costa in the bottom left corner.
Adding fuel to the fire… in the 63rd minute, the Ferraris silenced! It is forward Icardi to score the third goal of the match after the assist by Rodrigo Palacio. A game to forget for Sampdoria goalkeeper Costa defeated with a right footed shot in the bottom right corner. It’s the 8th goal for Icardi this season.
Just to crown a perfect game for Inter, there it is the poker goal in the 79th minute. Finally, the assist man forward Rodrigo Palacio got the chance to score a goal with a right footed shot defeating goalkeeper Costa in the bottom right corner.
