A miracle for Salernitana remaining in Serie A despite losing the Serie A Week 38 game against Udinese on Sunday 22 May 2022 at the Arechi Stadium in Salerno, Italy.  Salernitana remain in Serie A with 31 points just a +1 point lead over Cagliari with 30 points after their goalless draw with Venezia.  The joy for Salernitana Coach Davide Nicola running all over the stadium thanking the fans for their continuous support.  Another season in Serie A!

Udinese opened the score in the 6th minute. Gerard Deulofeu defeated Salernitana goalkeeper Vid Belec with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Iyenoma Udogie.

Udinese increased the score in the 34th minute. Ilija Nestorovski with a headed shot to the top right corner. The assist is by Nahuel Molina.

IL MILAN VINCE A SASSUOLO ED È CAMPIONE D’ITALIA

Dopo 11 stagioni il Milan torna a vincere la Serie A TIM. Nei novanta minuti finali per decidere una stagione i rossoneri a Sassuolo partono con la voglia di far subito proprio il risultato.

Nei primi dieci minuti il Milan crea almeno 4 palle gol. Prima è Giroud a deviare di testa verso la porta, ma Consigli respinge. Un minuto dopo Leao riceve palla da Tonali, ma si vede respingere la conclusione a botta sicura da Ferrari in scivolata. Poi è Tomori a cercare la deviazione vincente sugli sviluppi di un calcio d’angolo, ma Maxime Lopez salva sulla inea di porta. Infine il pallone del vantaggio rossonero capita sui piedi di Saelemaekers, ma Consigli in uscita chiude lo specchio della porta al belga. Al minuto 16 il Milan trova il vantaggio con Giroud che riceve palla in area di rigore da Leao, gira con il sinistro e infila Consigli per lo 0-1. Al 22′ gran tiro dalla distanza di Tonali, Consigli alza in angolo. Al 32′ Leao recupera il pallone nell’area di rigore del Sassuolo, supera Ferrari e mette la sfera in mezzo dove ancora Giroud si fa trovare ancora pronto all’appuntamento con il gol firmando lo 0-2. Il Milan non si ferma e al 36′ segna ancora: Leao si libera sulla destra, cross basso dove questa volta è Kessie a inserirsi con i tempi giusti siglando la terza rete rossonera. Il Sassuolo prova ad accorciare le distanze prima della fine del primo tempo, ma il colpo di testa di Frattesi è respinto dall’ottima parata di Maignan.

Nel secondo tempo il Sassuolo prova a portare qualche pericolo alla porta di Maignan, ma il Milan controlla e in ripartenza crea qualche presupposto per il quarto gol, pur senza impensierire ancora Consigli. Nel finale c’è ancora il tempo per il palo colpito da Traorè con un potente tiro dalla distanza. Al 92′ il fischio finale da il via alla festa rossonera. Il Milan vince 3-0, chiude il campionato a 86 punti, due lunghezze sopra l’Inter, ed è Campione d’Italia per la diciannovesima volta nella sua storia.

AC Milan win the 2021-22 Scudetto after defeating Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium. AC Milan waited 11 years to win their 19th Scudetto. The last time was back in 2011. The final score was Sassuolo 0 – 3 Milan thanks to the goals by Olivier Giroud with a brace and Franck Kessié. Milan ended the season with 86 points being +2 points ahead of Inter in the second position with 84 points. Milan with 86 points have never achieved more in a Scudetto triumph. Merit to the club, players, Coach Stefano Pioli, winning the first Scudetto of his career. Standing ovation for all AC Milan fans worldwide.

✅ The verdict is out for Venezia, Genoa, and Cagliari are relegated to the Serie B.

✅ Cremonese and Lecce are promoted from the Serie B to the Serie A next season.

Roma crushed Torino with a 0-3 at the Olimpico di Torino.  The victory secured a post for the UEFA Europa League next season.  The goals scored by Tammy Abraham with a brace and Captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.

Genoa, sadly, relegated to the Serie B, lost their last home game at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium defeated by Bologna.  Bologna won thanks to the goal by Musa Barrow in the 66th minute for the final Genoa 0 – 1 Bologna.

Fiorentina defeated Juventus at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.  Fiorentina finished the Serie A 2021/22 campaign in the first seven positions and next season will play in European competition for the first time since 2016/17, when they were eliminated in the round of 32 of the Europa League.  Juventus already qualified for the Champions League next season.

Atalanta are out of European competition next season.  Empoli conquered the Gewiss Stadium with this important away victory. A tough defeat for Atalanta because it means being officially excluded from European competition next season after 5 seasons. Fiorentina defeated Juventus and hence ended in the 7th position.

Spezia saved to remain in Serie A. Napoli secured their post in Champions League next season. Napoli defeated Spezia at the Alberto Picco Stadium. Napoli kept a clean sheet in both of their last two league games, and have not done so in three in a row since last October (four). A chaotic moment with the game being interrupted about 10 minutes due to some disturbances between fans in the stands in the first half. Napoli ends the season in the 3rd position with 79 points in the standings. Napoli did not do better than the 91 of the 2017/18 season. Spezia will play his third consecutive season in the Italian top league.

Il portiere del Milan Mike Maignan ha ricevuto oggi sul campo del “Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore” di Reggio Emilia il premio come MVP – Miglior Portiere della Serie A TIM 2021/2022.

Le classifiche sono state redatte tenendo conto delle analisi evolute di Stats Perform, realizzate a partire dai dati tracking registrati con il sistema Hawk-Eye. Il sistema di rating, brevettato nel 2010 con K-Sport e validato scientificamente, considera non soltanto i dati statistici e gli eventi tecnici, ma anche i dati posizionali. Ciò permette di analizzare aspetti cruciali come il movimento senza palla e dunque i movimenti ottimali, le scelte di gioco, il contributo all’efficienza tecnica e fisica della squadra, che permettono una valutazione oggettiva e qualitativa della prestazione. Per il calcolo finale sono state considerate tutte le partite disputate in Serie A TIM (ad esclusione della 38ª giornata).

Queste le caratteristiche che hanno portato al successo del portiere rossonero:

– Detiene il record di clean sheets in questa Serie A TIM (16) e, da inizio 2022, nessun portiere nei TOP 5 tornei europei ha collezionato più clean sheets di Maignan (11);
– Tra i portieri con più di 10 presenze, è quello che vanta la percentuale di parate più alta (78,8%);
