2026-27 Serie A Week 1 Live Result and Scores.

Hello, friends! The Serie A for the 2026-27 season commenced on Saturday, August 22, and Sunday, August 23, concluding on Monday, August 24. The top teams are already making their mark by securing their first wins: Inter, AC Milan, Napoli, and Juventus.

The reigning champions, Inter, made a significant statement against the newly promoted Monza at San Siro. Inter achieved a convincing victory over Monza with a scoreline of 4-1. The goals for Inter were scored by Hakan Calhanoglu, Piotr Zielinski, Pio Esposito, and Yann Bisseck, while Monza’s only goal was scored by Gustavo Varela. It is evident that Inter has sent a clear message to the other teams that they are ready to defend their championship title.

Napoli also kicked off the 2026-27 Serie A season with a win, triumphing over Genoa at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.  Simply put, Massimiliano Allegri’s tenure began with an important three points on the road, matching the reigning champions Inter.  The standout players were Kevin De Bruyne and Antonio Vergara, who scored the goals.  The fact is that Allegri’s timely substitutions in the 66th minute proved to be pivotal, bringing on Kevin De Bruyne, Antonio Vergara, and Noa Lang.

Mission accomplished after much anticipation with new coach Ruben Amorim’s debut. Milan triumphed over Torino at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium. A tough loss for Torino as they fell at home. Three points away, a solid performance with a few natural hiccups. Thanks to second-half goals from Cissé and Adrien Rabiot. Ché Adams netted a consolation goal for Torino in the 93rd minute.  Amorim is the first foreign coach to win his opening Serie A game with Milan since Leonardo did so on August 22, 2009, against Siena, also away (the final score was 2-1 in favor of the Rossoneri).

Atalanta secured a home win against Sassuolo at the New Balance Arena.  This marks the first three points for Maurizio Sarri’s Atalanta.  Despite the loss, Sassuolo showed promise, finishing the first half strong and equalizing early in the second half with a goal from Odenthal, which matched Raspadori’s initial goal for Atalanta. However, just when Aquilani’s team seemed to be at their best, the newly substituted Krstovic scored, catching Muric off guard due to a mistake by Macchioni. The final attempts by the neroverdi were not enough, and they had to concede a narrow defeat.

What a fantastic way to kick off the 2026-27 Season! Roma crushed Fiorentina at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.  Roma starts with the dynamic duo of Donyell Malen and Paulo Dybala! The impressive scoreline was 4-0 in their league debut. Malen netted a hat-trick, with Dybala providing 3 assists! This duo is set to be a powerful force for the Roman gladiators!    Niccolò Pisilli scored the 4th goal to seal the game.  The fact is that the Giallorossi were always in complete control of the match, while the Viola seemed off their game, particularly in their offensive build-up.  It was undoubtedly a tough loss for Fiorentina, who did not have the ideal start. The only thing left for Fiorentina is to bounce back in their next match.

Juventus faced a tough match but managed to secure a win against Frosinon at the Benito Stirpe Stadium. Although they lost, Frosinone, newly promoted from Serie B, fought valiantly. Juventus clinched the victory with a single goal scored by Bremer in the 22nd minute.  What can I say? Juventus dominated the first 60 minutes of the game but only managed to score once. They wasted numerous goal-scoring opportunities, not to mention the clear chances missed by Kolo Muani and Francisco Conceiçao.

Bologna had a rough start, losing their home match on Monday, August 24, 2026, at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium. Lazio pulled off an upset by securing this away win. The decisive moment came in the second half from Davide Frattesi. Indeed, it was a dream debut for Frattesi, as his first goal with Lazio sealed the fate for Bologna.  Unfortunately, Bologna failed to capitalize on three significant chances in the second half, the last of which came at the very end. Upcoming matches: Atalanta-Bologna and Lazio-Genoa.

The three teams promoted from Serie B are certainly filled with hope to shine in Serie A. Venezia and Frosinone earned automatic promotion, but can they hold onto their top-flight status this season?  Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas’ Como got only a draw against Udinese at the Bluenergy Stadium.
