Match statistic
Inter secured a victory in their Serie A Week 6 match against Udinese on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Dacia Arena in Udine, Italy. This win helps Inter bounce back, although they still show some signs of the rust from their recent loss in the Milan derby. Inter have won six of their last seven matches against Udinese in Serie A (L1), scoring 19 goals in the process (2.7 on average), the only success for the Friulians in the period dates back to 18 September 2022 (3-1 at the Bluenergy Stadium).
In sum, Inter have remained unbeaten in 10 of their last 11 away matches against Udinese in the league (W8 D2), after having lost two of the previous three (W1). Udinese faced their second straight defeat, conceding three goals once more, similar to their match in Rome. As a result, they fall behind the Nerazzurri in the standings, who are now temporarily tied for first place with Turin and Milan, each having 11 points.
An almost perfect match for Inter until the 83rd minute, Frattesi's goal after 43 seconds and Lautaro Martinez's brace between the two halves, in addition to the numerous scoring opportunities created, interspersed with Kabasele's equaliser, seemed to guarantee a calm end to the match for Inzaghi's men. Lucca's goal, served in open play by Brenner, added spice to the final minutes but the Bianconeri, despite the offensive imbalance, were no longer able to create any danger near Sommer. In the final stages, Okoye's miracle on Correa prevented the Nerazzurri from scoring four.
The next match will be at home again for Runjaic's men who will face Udinese on Saturday 5 October, while Inter will face Torino at the Meazza in the league, while on Tuesday the Nerazzurri will face the Champions League match against Red Star Belgrade.

Stats before the game
With the 0-3 defeat against Roma, Udinese ended a streak of nine unbeaten matches in the league (W5 D4); the Friulians have not recorded at least two defeats in a row in Serie A since last April (three in that case, the first of which against Inter).
Udinese have won both of their first two games at the Bluenergy Stadium in this championship, only four times in their history have the Friulians achieved three wins in their first three home games of a season in Serie A: in 2014/15, 2011/12, 2000/01 and 1950/51.
Inter have not won any of their last three games in all competitions (D2, L1), the Nerazzurri have not recorded a longer streak without victories since the period between March and April 2023: six in that case (D3, L3).
Inter have drawn their first three away games this season in all competitions, only once in their history (since 1929/30) have the Nerazzurri drawn all of their first four away games of the season: in 1987/88. More generally, Inter have drawn each of their last four away games in all competitions; the last time they recorded more was between October and December 2004 (six in that case).
