Napoli defeated Como in the Serie A Week 7 game on Friday 4 October 2024 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Napoli is on top of the table as they head into the international break, securing a 3-1 win where Lukaku was the standout performer with two assists and a penalty goal. Conversely, Como departs the Maradona with their heads held high, demonstrating impressive play and ball possession, even though a mistake by Sergi Roberto in the build-up allowed Napoli to take the lead.

Antonio Conte's Napoli have obtained three wins in their first three home games in the championship and so far only five managers have won all of their first four home games in Serie A in charge of the Partenopei: Paolo Iodice, Luis Vinicio, Alberto Bigon, Carlo Ancelotti and Luciano Spalletti.

Of the teams faced at least 10 times in Serie A, Napoli is the one against which Como has achieved the fewest successes in the competition: only one victory for the Lombardy team, compared to four draws and 17 defeats.

Napoli has won 77% of the matches against Como in Serie A (17 out of 22), a record for the Neapolitans against teams faced more than six times in the competition.

Napoli has won all 11 home matches in Serie A against Como; among the teams with 100% home successes against a single opponent, only Inter against Pro Patria has done better (12/12), while Juventus also has 11 against Foggia.

Napoli have kept three clean sheets in a row in Serie A for the first time since February 2023 (four) – in particular, the Partenopei have recorded four clean sheets in six games this season, and have not found at least five in the first seven since 1970/71 (six in that case).

Como have scored at least three goals in two consecutive Serie A games for the second time in the top flight: the first in the 1951/52 season (two in that case too, against Udinese and Legnano) – in general, the last newly promoted team to the top flight to have found at least three goals in three consecutive games was Palermo between December 2014 and January 2015.

No team in this championship has had more shots following an offensive recovery by Napoli (12, like Juventus); Como is fourth in this special ranking with nine (behind Bologna too). The Azzurri have scored two goals in this way, the Lombards have yet to score.

In the last three Serie A games played at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has scored two goals and provided an assist, as many active participations as in the previous seven home games in the competition – furthermore, in seven home games against newly promoted teams he has found four goals and one winner.

Patrick Cutrone has scored four goals in the current championship, one more than he scored in his last season in the top flight (2021/22), three in 28 games with Empoli – the only Serie A season in which he did better was 2017/18 with AC Milan (10 goals).
