Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:

Lecce, 18th position with 24 points and a negative goal difference of -16

🇮🇹    Como triumphed over Lecce with a score of 3-1 in Serie A Week 27 on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium. Como came back from an early goal by Lassana Coulibaly, thanks to strikes from Anastasios Douvikas, Jesus Rodriguez, and Marc-Oliver Kempf.

This victory allowed Como to temporarily surpass Juventus in the league standings, as Juventus is set to play on Sunday evening in Rome. In the 91st minute, Alvaro Morata failed to make a crucial save and was left on the sidelines. With no substitutions left, Como had to finish the game with just ten players. Siebert and Morata had a collision in the penalty area, but the referee denied a penalty, leaving the Spanish forward on the ground in discomfort.

Stats before the game Como vs Lecce

Como has triumphed in six out of their seven Serie A encounters (D1) against Lecce; among the teams they have faced more than three times in the top division, Lecce is the one they have defeated the most (86%).

Como has maintained a clean sheet in their last four Serie A matches against Lecce, and they have only achieved five consecutive clean sheets against a single opponent in their Serie A history once before, against Roma from 1985 to 1987.

This season, only Inter has more clean sheets (14) than Como (13). Overall, Como has only managed to keep more clean sheets in a single Serie A season once: 15 clean sheets in 1984/85, but that was over 30 matches.

At the Sinigaglia stadium, Como has won just one of their last five league matches (D2 L2)—a 6-0 victory against Torino on January 24th—after previously winning four of their last five home games (D1).

In the past two seasons since their return to Serie A, Como has only won two of their eight matches against teams that were in the bottom three at the time (D5 L1), with their most recent loss being 1-2 at the Sinigaglia stadium against Fiorentina on February 14th.
