Italian Soccer Serie A Supports 100% Italy Team
Getting to know our players in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It’s time to meet forward Alessio Cerci.
Alessio Cerci was born in Velletri on 23rd July 1987. He spent his youth at A.S Roma, where he also went onto make his debut in the Serie A at the age of 16 years. After spending time on loan at Brescia, Pisa, Atalanta, he moved back to Roma in 2009. He signed for Fiorentina a year later, playing his trade there for two years before Torino signed him. He currently plays as a winger or second striker with Torino.
Cerci represented Italy at all youth levels and was given his first cap by Prandelli for the national team on 21st March 2013, for the games against Brazil. He took part in the FIFA Confederations Cup In June 2013 and will travel with Italy to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
