Brazil’s FIFA World Cup 2026 Squad

Brazil’s head coach Carlo Ancelotti has officially announced his 26-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.  Among the selected players, there are two from the Italian Serie A: Juventus defender Gleison Bremer and AS Roma defender Wesley França.  Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup is from June 13 to 24, 2026. This group includes Brazil, Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland.  The top two teams, and possibly the third-placed team, will move on to the round of 32.

✅   2 Italian Serie A players among the called-ups.

Juventus defender Gleison Bremer‘s second appearance in a senior World Cup, as he was previously part of the squad for the 2022 tournament held in Qatar. He received his first call-up to the Brazil national team on September 9, 2022, for friendly matches against Ghana and Tunisia.  Bremer made his debut on September 23, contributing to a 3–0 victory over Ghana. On November 7, he was included in the squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where he played the entire match in a 1–0 defeat to Cameroon in Group G, and also came on as a substitute for 18 minutes in the 4–1 Round of 16 loss to South Korea. Although Bremer was part of Brazil’s squad for the 2024 Copa América, he did not get to play in the tournament. On March 26, 2026, he scored his first goal for Brazil in a friendly match against France, which ended in a 2-1 loss for his team.

As for AS Roma’s Wesley França, he made his international debut on March 20, 2025, during a World Cup qualifier against Colombia. Wesley will make history as the first player from Maranhão to represent Brazil in a World Cup. On March 6, 2025, he was called up by head coach Dorival Júnior for two World Cup qualifiers against Colombia and Argentina. He made his full international debut on March 20, stepping in for Vanderson in a 2–1 victory over Colombia at the Estádio Nacional Mané Garrincha.
