Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Bologna, 7th with 44 points and a positive goal difference of +8
Cagliari, 16th position with 24 points and a negative goal difference of -14

Bologna won the Serie A Week 27 match on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium in Bologna, Italy. Bologna secured a 2-1 victory over Cagliari, marking their second win in a row and their sixth consecutive triumph at home.

With this win, Bologna has moved ahead of Fiorentina, reaching 47 points in the league standings, now tied with fifth-placed Lazio, who are set to play against Milan tonight at San Siro. Meanwhile, Italiano’s squad is closing in on fourth-place Juventus, who are just two points ahead and will be facing Verona tomorrow. For Cagliari, this marks their second straight defeat and their third match without a win, leaving them with 25 points, just three points clear of the relegation zone.

Notably, in their last seven meetings in the top division, Bologna has triumphed in the first leg four times. Meanwhile, Cagliari has secured three wins in the return matches. Following their 2-0 victory in the first leg on October 29, Bologna aims to achieve a seasonal double over Cagliari for the third time in Serie A history, having previously done so in the 2013/14 and 1965/66 seasons.

Cagliari opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when Roberto Piccoli found the net with a close-range header. The goal was set up by Tommaso Augello, who delivered a perfect cross after a quick counterattack.

Bologna leveled the score in the 48th minute when Riccardo Orsolini successfully converted a penalty with a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner. The penalty was awarded after Mattia Felici committed a foul on Nicolò Cambiaghi in the box.

In the 56th minute, Bologna surged ahead with a 2-1 lead, thanks to a close-range right-footed shot that found the center of the net. Nicolò Cambiaghi provided the assist. Castro played the ball to Cambiaghi, who quickly sped up and delivered a low cross that traveled across the entire penalty area, reaching the home team’s number 7 on the right side. The game turned around in just ten minutes.

Stats before the game

The last 14 encounters between Bologna and Cagliari in Serie A have shown a remarkable balance, with each team claiming five victories and four matches ending in a draw. Specifically, in their last seven top-flight meetings, Bologna has triumphed in the first leg four times, while Cagliari has secured three wins in the return matches. Following their 2-0 victory in the first leg on October 29, Bologna has the chance to achieve a seasonal double over Cagliari for the third time in Serie A history, previously accomplished in the 2013/14 and 1965/66 seasons.

Bologna have remained unbeaten in the last 11 home matches against Cagliari in Serie A (8W, 3D), winning all three of the most recent ones; the last Sardinian success at the Dall’Ara against the Emilians in the tournament dates back to 10 January 2010 (1-0 with a goal by Alessandro Matri, with Massimiliano Allegri as coach).

Since the start of 2025, Bologna have lost just one out of nine games played in Serie A (W4 D4) – only Roma are unbeaten in the period – and have scored 15 goals (like Napoli): less than only Atalanta and Roma (both 16) in this calendar year.

Bologna have won seven of their last nine home games in Serie A (D1 L1), including all of their last four; since the start of November, the rossoblù have been the team with the best home performance in the tournament: 22 points, two more than Inter.
Cagliari have not scored in their last two league games and in Serie A 2024/25 they have only once failed to score in three consecutive matches: between August and September.

Genoa and Empoli ended the Serie A Week 27 with a 1- 1 draw on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa, Italy.   In the league standings, Genoa remains at 31 points, while Empoli moves up to 22 points. Empoli initially took the lead with a goal from Alberto Grassi in the 36th minute following a corner kick. However, in the second half, they couldn’t extend their advantage.  In the 81st minute, an own goal by Marco Silvestri equalized the match.

This matchup features the team with the least goals scored in the first half of the season (Genoa, with 5 goals) against the team with the fewest goals in the second half (Empoli, with 7 goals) for this Serie A season.

Genoa vs Empoli: Coach Roberto D’Aversa preparing to face Genoa for the eleventh time in his coaching career. So far, there have been no draws in their encounters, with D’Aversa securing 6 wins and Genoa claiming 4 victories. In fact, Genoa is the team D’Aversa has triumphed over the most in Serie A, boasting six wins in nine matches.

Empoli gained the upper hand in the 36th minute when Alberto Grassi found the back of the net with a right-footed shot aimed at the bottom right corner, capitalizing on a corner given away by Alessandro Zanoli.

  Stats before the game.

Genoa has not lost to Empoli in their last 10 Serie A encounters, boasting 5 wins and 5 draws. The last time Empoli triumphed over the Grifone in the top division was on October 24, 2015, when they won 2-0 at the Castellani.

On the other hand, Empoli has only managed to secure 1 victory in their 7 away games against Genoa in Serie A, with a record of 4 draws and 2 losses. Their sole win came on April 27, 2008, when Ignazio Abate scored under the management of Luigi Cagni.

Recently, Genoa has been impressive at home, winning their last three league matches at the Ferraris without allowing any goals. The last time they achieved four consecutive home victories in Serie A was between February and April 2016, when they won five times under Gasperini. If they manage to win four home games in a row without conceding again, it will mark the third time in their Serie A history, following their streaks in May-September 1991 and December 1939-February 1940.

In their last 11 league games, Genoa have never recorded two equal results in a row (4W, 3D, 4L), losing against Inter in the most recent one.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Torino, 11th position with 31 points and a negative goal difference of -3
Monza, 20th position with 14 points and a negative goal difference of -22

Torino won the Serie A Week 27 match on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the U-Power Stadium in Monza, Italy. Torino secured a comfortable 2-0 win over Monza, showcasing their strength on the field. Elmas found the net in the first half, followed by Casadei’s goal in the second. Monza put in a spirited effort but couldn’t pose a significant threat to their rivals. As a result, Nesta’s squad stays at the bottom of the table, while Torino climbs higher.

In the upcoming match, Monza will take on Inter, while Torino is set to face Parma!

Surely, Monza is feeling the heat as they sit at the bottom of the table with just 14 points and are eager to turn their fortunes around. Monza is looking to bounce back after a tough 4-0 loss to Roma, while Torino comes into the game with momentum from a 2-1 win over Milan.

Fun fact: Monza’s inaugural Serie A match took place on August 13, 2022, where they faced Torino. The game ended in a 2-1 win for Torino at the U-Power Stadium, with Miranchuk and Sanabria scoring for the visitors, while Dany Mota netted a goal for Monza.

Torino struck first in the 41st minute when Eljif Elmas netted a right-footed shot to the center, thanks to an assist from Valentino Lazaro. The sequence highlighted a great transition for Torino, with Vlasic skillfully finding Lazaro, who then set up Elmas. Elmas made a well-timed run and finished with composure, beating goalkeeper Stefano Turati.

Monza is facing difficulties. In the 66th minute, Torino extended their lead to 0-2. Cesare Casadei found the net with a right-footed shot into the top right corner. The play was set up nicely by Adams, who delivered a cross into the box. A mishap by Palacios allowed Casadei to capitalize, showcasing his skill in getting into position and finishing the shot. Casadei celebrates his first goal for Torino. Well done!

Stats before the game:

Following their recent win over Milan, Torino has the chance to secure back-to-back victories in Serie A for the first time since last August, when they triumphed over Atalanta and Venezia.

The inaugural Serie A match for Monza took place against Torino on August 13, 2022. The Granata emerged victorious with a score of 2-1 at the U-Power Stadium. The goals were from Miranchuk and Sanabria, while Dany Mota netted one for the Lombard team.

Monza has yet to secure a win in their last five encounters with Torino in Serie A, recording three draws and two losses. They have only faced Roma, Lazio, and Lecce more times without a victory in the top division, with six matches against each.

Notably, they have drawn more games against Lecce (four) than they have against Torino (three) in this competition. In this season, Monza has accumulated 14 points. Historically, only one of the 25 teams that have reached a maximum of 14 points after 26 matches in Serie A has managed to avoid relegation: Crotone, who had 13 points at the same stage in the 2016/17 season.

Monza have not scored in their last two games at the U-Power Stadium in the championship, the Brianza team could remain dry of goals in three home games in a row for the first time in Serie A.

Torino have won only two of their last 10 games against teams that at the start of the day occupied the last position in the Serie A standings (5D, 3L), drawing 0-0 in the most recent one on 4 February 2024 against Salernitana.

No team has received more yellow cards than Monza in Serie A 2024/25: 63, tied with Hellas Verona – in fourth place in this ranking is Torino (56, tied with Udinese).

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game
Udinese, 10th position with 36 points and a negative goal difference of -4
Parma, 19th position with 13 points and a negative goal difference of -28

Udinese defeated Parma in the Serie A Week 27 match on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine, Italy. Udinese secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Parma, bringing their points total to 39. Meanwhile, Parma remains at 23 points, just two points above the relegation zone. The winning goal came from a penalty converted by Thauvin.

In the first half, Udinese looked threatening, nearly finding the net on multiple occasions. However, in the second half, Parma stepped up their game and created several chances but couldn’t find the back of the net.

Cristian Chivu celebrated a successful debut as Parma’s coach, leading the team to a 2-0 victory over Bologna. Interestingly, no coach in Parma’s history has managed to win their first two matches in Serie A. Too bad a defeat today.  In simple terms, Parma is in dire need of a win to steer clear of the relegation zone.

Udinese gained the upper hand in the 38th minute when Florian Thauvin successfully converted a penalty, sending a left-footed shot into the bottom left corner. The penalty was awarded after Botond Balogh committed a handball in the area.

✅ Stats before the game

Udinese has gone three Serie A matches without a loss against Parma, securing two wins and one draw, after previously facing three straight defeats to the Gialloblu. The Friulians haven’t managed to avoid defeat in four consecutive encounters with the Emilians since the stretch from April 2012 to September 2013. Following their victory in the first leg (3-2 on September 16, 2024), Udinese has the chance to defeat Parma in both league matches this season, a feat they last achieved in 1996/97 and 2005/06. On the other hand, Parma has claimed victory in two of their last three away matches against Udinese in Serie A, with one loss. Additionally, the Gialloblu have found the net on the Friulians’ ground in 11 away games, averaging 1.9 goals per match.

Udinese have won their last two Serie A games (3-0 against Empoli, 1-0 against Lecce) and could win three games in a row with a clean sheet in the competition for the first time since April 2013, under Francesco Guidolin (one of those three victories came against Parma).

Parma won on the last matchday (2-0 against Bologna), after a run of four defeats in a row; the Gialloblu have not won two in a row in the top flight since July 2020, under Roberto D’Aversa.

Udinese have won their last two home games and have never won three games in a row at home in Serie A since the start of last season – the last time was between August and September 2022, under Andrea Sottil.

Serie A Standing BEFORE the game:
Inter, 1st position with 57 points and a positive goal difference of +35
Napoli, 2nd position with 56 points and a positive goal difference of +21

The battle for the Scudetto was packed with excitement. Napoli and Inter clashed in Serie A Week 27, ending in a 1-1 draw on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples, Italy.  Following Atalanta’s draw with Venezia, the standings at the top remain unchanged. Inter stays in first place with 58 points, just one ahead of Napoli at 57 points, and three ahead of Atalanta, who has 55 points. For Inzaghi’s squad, this marks their third consecutive positive result, following wins against Genoa in the league and Lazio in the Italian Cup. On the other hand, Napoli is now on a fifth straight game without a victory, unable to surpass the Nerazzurri and still searching for a win that has eluded them for over a month.

Inter gained the upper hand in the 22nd minute thanks to Federico Dimarco, who executed a brilliant left-footed free kick. From 20 meters out, he curled the ball into the top left corner, outsmarting goalkeeper Alex Meret with his exceptional shot.

Napoli managed to level the score at 1-1 in the 87th minute. Philip Billing found the back of the net with a right-footed shot aimed at the bottom right corner. Lobotka connected with McTominay, made his way into the box, and set up Billing. Although Billing’s initial left-footed attempt was saved by Josep Martinez, he quickly followed up to score the equalizer.

Stats before the game:

Napoli has managed to secure just one victory in their last 11 encounters with Inter in Serie A, recording 4 draws and 6 losses. Since the start of 2020, they have struggled against no other team as much as they have against Inter, with only one win and six defeats. This matchup marks the fifth time in the last decade (since the 2015/16 season) that Napoli and Inter will meet while both are in the top two spots of the league. In their previous four meetings under these circumstances, Napoli initially triumphed with a 2-1 win thanks to two goals from Gonzalo Higuaín on November 30, 2015, followed by three draws, including their first leg this season, which ended in a 1-1 tie.

Buy Serie A tickets

Inter has managed to stay unbeaten in four of their last five away games against Napoli in Serie A, with two wins and two draws. Notably, after their recent victory at the Maradona (3-0 on December 3, 2023), the Nerazzurri have a chance to defeat the Partenopei at home in consecutive matches for the first time since 1997 in the top division.

On the other hand, Napoli has struggled to find a win in their last four league matches, recording three draws followed by a loss. Under Antonio Conte, the team has never experienced five straight games without a victory in Serie A. Following their defeat to Como, the Partenopei could face back-to-back losses for the first time since December 2023, when one of those defeats was against Inter at home (0-3).
