Juventus keeping the first position with 23 points after the 1-1 draw against Lecce at the Allianz Stadium.  Juventus will try to win this match or risk losing the first position.  Inter with 22 points is only 1 point below Juventus.

Hello, my friends. Here are the 2019-2020 Serie A Week 8 PREVIEW / Eighth Round on Saturday 19, Sunday 20, and Monday 21 October 2019.

We are set for an exciting round to see whether the leadership will change or remain the same.  Juventus, Italy’s defending Champions, overtook the first position after winning the famous “Derby d’Italia” defeating Inter on Sunday 6 October at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium with a 1-2.

Juventus reaching the first position with 19 points and a positive goal difference of +7 and Inter stepping down to the second position with 18 points and a positive goal difference of +10.

Juventus will keep the first position if they win the home game against Bologna at the Allianz Stadium.   In case of Juventus losing, Inter will take back the first position if they win the away game against Sassuolo at the Mapei Stadium.

We are also expecting the debut of 2 new coaches.   New AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli  will make his debut in the home game against Lecce at the San Siro Stadium.

New Sampdoria coach Claudio Ranieri replaced coach Eusebio Di Francesco.  Sampdoria, currently in the last position, can only improve.  The first challenge is to win the home game Sampdoria vs AS Roma at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium. Ranieri facing his ex team ROMA! Wow, bam!

A wake up call is for Napoli on their quest to be a strong contender to win the Scudetto.   Napoli are in the 4th position with 13 points being -6 points below Juventus with 19 points in the first position and – points below Inter with 18 points in the second position.

Atalanta might jumped to the second position if Inter lose the game against Sassuolo and Atalanta defeat Lazio at the Olimpico Stadium.  Atalanta is only -3 points below Juventus with 19 points!   In a dream scenario for Atalanta, they can reach the first position if Juventus and Inter lose their respective games.

Wow, wow, wow, wow, and wow…. We are expecting a thriller round!   The status in the leadership might change.  It is the famous “Derby d’Italia” between Inter and Juventus. This is a match not only for the honor, but also to see whether Inter will keep the leadership or will “Juventus, the reigning Champions”  will overtake the leadership.

So far, Inter winning all games this season.  Inter is with hunger of victory after losing the UEFA Champions League Group Stage match against Barcelona at Camp Nou.  However, in the Serie A, Inter have the perfect score of 18 points with a positive goal difference of +11. The status in the leadership might change this week.  For the moment,  Inter is the sole leader in the first position.  Inter with the perfect score of winning all 5 games reaching 15 points.  Juventus is in the second position with 13 points after defeating Brescia with a 1-2.

Inter might lose the leadership if they lose the away game against Sampdoria at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium and if Juventus win the home game against SPAL at the Allianz Stadium.   Sampdoria will put a strong front to get the victory after stepping down from the 19th to the 20th position
