What a flop for Napoli!  Cagliari with a super victory winning the away game of the Serie A Week 5 game on Wednesday 25 September 2019 at the San Paolo Stadium in Naples, Italy.  This is the second defeat of Napoli in this season and the third win for Cagliari.

Simply put, Napoli failing to win and losing three precious points on their quest to be in the top 2 positions. Napoli ended with 10 players in the 88th minute when Referee Marco Di Bello gave a red card to Kalidou Koulibaly.

Surely, this is a step back for Napoli slowing down the pace to keep up the race for the Scudetto.  Napoli remaining with 9 points going down from the 3rd to the 4th position.  Cagliari climbed to the 5th position reaching 9 points. Napoli is 6 points below Inter in the first position with 15 points.

It is Cagliari to score the only goal of the match in the 87th minute. The hero for Cagliari is Lucas Castro defeating Napoli goalkeeper with a headed shot in the center. The assist is by Nahitan Nández with a cross.

Here is NAPOLI official starting lineup – formation by Coach Carlo Ancelotti:

NAPOLI (4-4-2): Meret, Di Lorenzo, Manolas, Maksimovic, Mario Rui, Callejon, Allan, Zielinski, Insigne, Mertens, Lozano.
