Hello my friends.  Here is the Serie A ROUNDUP for
the
Serie A Week 19, 2013 – 2014 Season on  Saturday 11, Sunday 12 and Monday 13 January 2014, matchday 19.

Serie A Round 19 seeing a breaking record.  Juventus achieving their 11th consecutive victory confirming their dominion.  Juventus were down by a goal, then, awakening.   Juventus crushing Cagliari with a poker!  Four goals at the Sant’Elia Stadium by Fernando Llorente scoring 2 goals, Claudio Marchisio his first goal this season, and Stephan Lichtsteiner.  Cagliari opened the score with forward Mauricio Pinilla.  Simply put, guys, Juventus still absolute top leader with 52 points keeping the 8 points advantage over AS Roma who are in the second place with 44 points.  Cagliari finishing the game with 10 players after Referee Guida gives a RED CARD to Pinilla in the 87th minute for protesting.

What a blow for Livorno!  Parma crushing Livorno extending their agony in the relegation zone.  Parma scoring 3 goals leaving no hope for Livorno.  A great game for striker Amauri scoring 2 goals including converting the penalty.

Bologna coach Davide Ballardini debuts with a draw after replacing coach Stefano Pioli.  We might say this is a positive start for Ballardini not conceding goals and at least claiming a 1 point.  By the way, guys,  Reja made his re-debut with Lazio last week with a victory. Lazio 1 – 0 Inter.  Yet, Reja could not claim a victory this time.

Total party at the Olimpico di Roma Stadium.  The Roman gladiators crushing Genoa with 4 goals!  Great game by Francesco Totti and Alessandro Florenzi not only scoring goals, but also providing assists!  A super goal by Florenzi in rovesciata!

A total rollercoaster… incredible Sassuolo forward Domenico Berardi scoring 4 goals against AC Milan!  Yep, you are reading right, Berardi defeating goalkeeper Christian Abbiati 4 times!!!….  Also there is the debut of new AC Milan player Keisuke Honda.  Berardi is the first player to score 4 goals against AC Milan this season.   It’s a blow for Milan seeing their chances to qualify for the Champions League next year very difficult…. not even to the Europa League….  Sassuolo celebrating because this victory helped them leave the relegation zone and climbed to the 16th position… what a survival!  The outcome of this defeat results in the sacking of coach Massimiliano Allegri on Monday 13 January.

Serie A Week 19, Italian Serie A PREVIEW 2013 – 2014 for Round 19 on Saturday 11, Sunday 12 and Monday 13 January 2014, matchday 19

Hello my friends.  I hope you are all doing fine.  Here is the Serie A PREVIEW for
the
Serie A Week 19, 2013 – 2014 Season on Saturday 11, Sunday 12 and Monday 13 January 2014, matchday 19.

Let me tell you, guys.  There is not a serious contender for the moment to bring down Juventus.  Yep, incredible so, AS Roma had the first position for weeks and now they are down to the 2nd position while Juventus have a wide advantage of 8 points!  Simply put, the status quo in the first position will not change whether Juvents win, draw, or lose.

The battle….   We might expect a battle for the second position between Napoli and Fiorentina.  Napoli having 39 points playing the away game against Hellas Verona while Fiorentina with 36 points also playing an away game against Torino.

Expected debut for new AC Milan player Keisuke Honda creating an uproar among fans and the Japanese press ready for his debut.

Another expected game is Bologna vs Lazio featuring the debut of coach Davide Ballardini who replaced coach Stefano Pioli.  Bologna in desperate need of points or falling in the relegation zone being just 1 point away.  The challenge is for  Ballardini to start with this home victory while Lazio also on their quest towards the top 5 position for European Competitions.
