Atalanta triumphed in Serie A Week 13, taking down Parma at the Ennio Tardini Stadium on Saturday, November 23, 2024. This victory marks Atalanta’s seventh consecutive win, allowing them to tie with Inter in the standings at 28 points. Meanwhile, Parma faces another defeat after their recent win against Venezia, remaining at 12 points from 13 matches.
Atalanta took control early, scoring just 4 minutes into the game with a goal from Mateo Retegui. Ederson added a second goal, but Parma fought back in the second half, narrowing the gap with a stunning strike from Cancellieri. However, Atalanta sealed the match with a third goal from Ademola Lookman, following two earlier disallowed goals, dashing Parma’s hopes.
Looking ahead, Atalanta will be back in action on Tuesday for a Champions League clash against Young Boys, followed by a trip to Rome for their 14th Serie A matchday. They will host Lazio at the Tardini in Parma on Sunday at 15:00.

Raoul Bellanova set him up with a well-placed cross from the left wing, allowing the Italian forward to leap and head it into the corner with precision!

Parma shortened the distance in the 49th minute. Matteo Cancellieri defeated Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi with a left footed shot to the high center. The assist is by Valentin Mihaila.
Atalanta hit again and now it’s 1-3 in favor of la Dea. In the 75th minute, Ademola Lookman scored with a left footed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Juan Cuadrado.

Parma has faced difficulties at home, having lost their last three Serie A matches against Atalanta, which is one more than the defeats they suffered in their previous 18 encounters (W9 D7). The Gialloblu’s only longer home losing streaks have been against Lazio and Roma, where they lost four times.

Atalanta have won their last six Serie A games and the only time they have done better in the competition was between February and July 2020 (nine in that case) – among the teams in the top five European leagues this season, only Barcelona have achieved seven consecutive wins.

Among players with at least five active contributions, including goals and assists, only Kenan Yildiz and Santiago Castro are younger than Ange-Yoan Bonny, who has four goals and one assist. If the Parma striker reaches five goals, he will do so at the age of 21 years and 29 days, making him the seventh youngest player from the Gialloblu to achieve this feat, with Alberto Gilardino being the eighth at 21 years and 71 days.
