Atalanta has faced Torino in Serie A recently, losing two out of their last three encounters (with one win), which matches the number of losses they had in their previous 14 meetings against the team from Piedmont (seven wins and five draws). Notably, Atalanta hasn't suffered two straight defeats to Torino in the top division since the stretch from February to September 2019. Following their 2-1 win in the first leg, Torino has a chance to achieve a seasonal double over Atalanta for the first time since the 2015/16 season, when they won 1-0 in the first match and 2-1 in the second, with both teams managed by Giampiero Ventura and Edoardo Reja, respectively.

Atalanta has been successful in their last two home matches against Torino in Serie A, but they have yet to secure three consecutive home victories against the Granata. Additionally, after their 3-0 triumph at the Gewiss Stadium on May 26, they could achieve two home wins without conceding against this opponent for the first time in the top flight.
