Hello my friends. Here is the Serie A PREVIEW for Week 31 on Saturday 18, Sunday 19, and Monday 20 April 2015.   We have an interesting round not for the 1st position because that seems a spot for Juventus with 70 points having a +12 points ahead of Lazio with 58 points.

What we will be following closely is the race towards the 2nd and 3rd position.   It’s a big challenge for Lazio to go to the Juventus Stadium to defeat Juventus.  Lazio can keep the 2nd position only if they defeat Juventus.  Now, here is the other situation.  AS Roma with 57 points can take back the 2nd position if Juventus defeat Lazio and Roma defeat Atalanta.

The super match to follow is the MILAN DERBY!   Yep, my friends.  Inter vs AC Milan. There is only 1 point difference and both teams are battling not only to win the Milan Derby, but also to pursue their last minute sprint towards the Europa League next season.  Milan in the 9th position with 42 points and Inter in the 10th position with 41 points.  Are you kidding me!  Hello… it will be a super duel between Inter forward Mauro Icardi and A CMilan forward Jeremy Menez both top scorer for their respective teams with 16 goals each.   Wondering who will score the winner goal… oh my gosh….

Agonizing battle for the last 3 teams in the relegation zone whether they will survive or just accept their reality to go to Serie B….. OUCH.

The top scorer up to Round 30: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 17 goals.

Hello my friends.  Here are the front pages from Italy main Sports newspapers La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport, and Tutto Sport from Monday 13  April 2015.    Wow, mamma mia, so many news and unexpected headlines after the Serie A Week 30 results.   So, good news are for Lazio while a sour day for AS Roma….  let me tell you why….

I think the main headline of the day is about Lazio overtaking the 2nd position.  Yep, Lazio are now in the 2nd position after defeating Empoli and leaving their city rivals AS Roma speechless now down to the 3rd position.  Lazio 4 – 0 Empoli,

Headlines on AC Milan – Sampdoria, I totally agree that it was a beautiful Sampdoria managing to take the lead at the San Siro Stadium, but then, Milan getting a draw.  Sure, you bet Milan fans  were not happy and I agree with that just as headlines report some fans even booing the team.   Simply put, Milan seeing their chances to make it to the Europa League next season disappearing….  heart is not enough to play games, but you need to WIN the games.  AC Milan 1 – 1 Sampdoria,

Surely, headline on Torino – AS Roma, total happiness for Torino because it was a Maxi Toro to silence Alessandro Florenzi and Coach Rudi Garcia by stopping their train.  Yep, my friends, Roma losing the 2ns position after Torino  grabbed the draw causing the furor among fans.

Headlines on Napoli 3 – 0 Fiorentina,, just party time for Napoli because they are back.  Oh yeah,  Napoli crushing Fiorentina at the San Paolo Stadium with a 3-0.

Headlines for the Champions League match Juventus – AS Monaco.  I am happy to see that forward Carlitos Tevez is ready and that Coach Massimiliano Allegri also have Andrea Pirlo available for the game.  Forza Juventus.

Hello my friends. Here are the Serie A RESULTS for Week 30 on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 April 2015.    There are two unexpected results.  Get this one, guys,  Parma who are in the last position of the Serie A table defeated Juventus who are in the first position!   Yep, you are reading right, it’s no joke, it actually happened.   The classical David defeating Goliath….

Here is the other turning point!   AS Roma losing the 2nd position after their 1-1 draw with Torino. Say what?   Yep, this is totally true.  Lazio defeated Empoli with a 4 -0 and reached 58 points while Roma remained with 57 points.   LAZIO ARE NOW IN THE SECOND POSITION and the upcoming Derby Lazio _ Roma will be a total battle.

Parma gaining momentum and a boost to the morale after the prestigious victory at the Ennio Tardini Stadium winning with a 1-0 with the goal by Jose Mauri.  However, let’s not panic.  Juventus have lost only 2 games this season and still remain as sole leaders of the Serie A and most likely will win the Scudetto.   Juventus having 70 points with a wide gap advantage of +14 over AS Roma in the second position.

What went wrong with Juventus?  Maybe too much confidence and the turnover not working.  Coach Massimiliano Allegri did not use key star forward Carlos Tevez.. The reasoning?  Maybe giving him resting time for the Champions League match against AS Monaco this Tuesday….  To be fair, Parma deserved the victory, they never backed down.

A positive result is for Inter who defeated Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium with a 0-3.  A Tango victory as both Argentinian forwards took care of business not only by scoring the 2 goals, but also by providing the assist to each other.  The third goal was a night mare for Verona because it was an own goal by defender Vangelis Moras.

Genoa winning the home game against Cagliari with a  2-0.   Cagliari still struggling for salvation and remain in the relegation zone, the 19th position.

I am so happy to see Chievo Verona forward Sergio Pellissier celebrating his birthday today by scoring the winner goal against Cesena.   Chievo reaching 35 points and are closer for salvation while Cesena remaining in the relegation zone.

Palermo causing an upset at the Friuli Stadium by defeating Udinese with a 1-3.  Udinese fans not happy with the performance and contesting the team during the game with boos, whistles.  It was a a well deserved victory for Palermo.  No doubt about it.

The top scorer up to Round 30: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 17 goals.
