A historical victory for Lazio overtaking the second position.  Yes, totally true.  Lazio reaching to the 2nd position because AS Roma got only a draw with Torino.   Lazio now having 58 points while Roma falls behind with 57 points.  Lazio are just 1 point ahead of city rivals Roma.  Empoli went down from the 14th to the 15th position.

It is Lazio to open the score in the 4th minute.  Yep, it is Captain Stefano Mauri to scoe with a headed shot defeating Empoli goalkeeper Luigi Sepe in the bottom left corner.  The assist is by Pedro Cavanda.  It’s the 9th goal by Mauri this season.

Great game for Cavanda providing the assist also for the second goal.  In the 23rd minute it is forward Miroslav Klose to smack a headed shot defeating goalkeeper Sepe  in the bottom left corner.   Klose scoring his 10th goal this season.

Lazio crushing Udinese not leaving them space to react.  Lazio increasing the score in the 44th minute with Antonio Candreva.

The final nail to the coffin arriving in the 53rd minute with midfielder Felipe Anderson defeating goalkeeper Sepe after an earlier save.   Anderson still in the area to try it again and BAM, this time it was a goal with a right footed shot from close range.

Things complicating for Lazio in the 58th minute.  Referee giving the second yellow card to defender Diego Novaretti after a foul on Empoli defender Mario Rui.   Lazio ending the game with 10 players, and Empoli could not even score having a one player advantage for over 30 minutes.

Here is LAZIO official starting lineup by Coach Stefano Pioli:

Hello my friends. Here is  the Serie A PREVIEW for Week30 on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 April 2015.   The leadership of the Serie A  will not change.  Juventus being the sole leader with 70 points have a widely +14 points advantage.   Juventus will play the away game against Parma who are in the last position.     Challenge will be for  Roma to keep the 2nd position with 56 points because Lazio is following closely and we might see a turning point here.  It will be chaotic for Roma to lose, but the away game against Torino at the Olimpico di Torino is just adding pressure to the Roman gladiators.  Here is the situation,  Lazio with 55 points are playing the home game against Empoli.  On paper, Lazio have better chances to win the game and will be a total celebration for them to see city rivals losing in Turin to take over the 3rd position.

Pressure for Napoli will be to win the next games and hope for Fiorentina (4) and Sampdoria (5) to lose points.  Problem is tthat in this week we have the direct match Napoli vs Fiorentina!    Napoli having 47 points and Fiorentina 49 points.  The victory is a must for Napoli, but can Napoli and Fiorentina handle the pressure ahead of their Europa League matches next week too?   Tough match…..

Juventus always closer to claim the Scudetto after defeating Empoli with a 2-0 thanks to the goals by Carlos Tevez and Robero Pereyra. Juventus reaching 70 points and keeping a clear advantage of +14 points ahead of Roma.

AC Milan coach  Filippo Inzaghi  highly motivated after winning last week at the Renzo Barbera Stadium defeating Palermo.   Milan are still battling to make it to the Europa zone. Milan in the 8th position with 41 points are -7 points below of Sampdoria holding the 5th position with 48 points.   Its’ now a face to face challenge with Milan vs Sampdoria at the San Siro Stadium.

The top scorer up to Round 29: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 17 goals.

Hello my friends. It’s a beautiful Sunday morning and I wish you a Happy Easter.  Jesus is risen, Hallelujah!   Here are the front pages from Italy main Sports newspapers La Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport, and Tutto Sport from Sunday 5  April 2015.

I am so happy and prepared by big cup of Cappuccino.    How are you?  Tutto Sport giving the main headline and well deserved to Juventus forward Carlos Tevez… oh yeahhhh.. Tevez the running motor defeating Empoli with a 2-0.   Juventus reaching now 70 points having a clear +14 points ahead of Roma.  Like it or not… the  Scudetto will be for Juventus…

It must be a sunny day in Rome!  Yep.  Headlines on AS Roma winning the super match at the Olimpico defeating Napoli thanks to the goal by midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

Headlines for Lazio are also a motive to celebrate in Rome.  Lazio defeated Cagliari and this is the 7th consecutive victory.   Lazio are just 1 point behind Roma. Simply put, my friends.  It is now an Extra Derby because Roma are in the 2nd position with 56 points while Lazio in the 3rd position with 55 points.

Just loving the main headline of La Gazzetta dello Sport..  I agree, it’s one city Milan and the two teams Inter and AC Milan having different results while pursuing their race for a spot in Europa….   Milan defeated Palermo with a 1-2 at the Barbera Stadium while Inter got only a 1-1draw against Parma at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.  Milan growing while Inter are now “punished”

I agree with the headline that it’s just clamorous because Inter were favorites to win at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.  You bet Inter coach Roberto Mancini is just furious with the result…

Hello my friends. Here are  the Serie A RESULTS for Week 29 on Saturday 4 April 2015.  The awaited big match AS Roma – Napoli ended with a victory for the Roman gladiators defeating Napoli with the goal by midfielder Miralem Pjanic.  Roma keeping the 2nd position with 56 points while Napoli went down to the 6th position with 47 points.  Here is the situation, Napoli for the moment are out of  Europa League for next season.  Pressure for Napoli will be to win he next games and hope for Fiorentina (4) and Sampdoria (5) to lose points.

Juventus always closer to claim the Scudetto after defeating Empoli with a 2-0 thanks to the goals by Carlos Tevez and Robero Pereyra.  Juventus reaching 70 points and keeping a clear advantage of +14 points ahead of Roma.

Another great victory is for Lazio defeating Cagliari at the Sant’Elia Stadium with a 1-3.   Lazio keeping up the race for the second position having now 55 points just 1 point below AS Roma.

AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi  with “Mission Accomplished” winning at the Renzo Barbera Stadium.  It is a battle ending with a 1-2.  This victory is a boost to the morale of the Rossoneri who are still battling to make it to the Europa zone.  Milan in the 8th position  with 41 points are -7 points below of Sampdoria holding the 5th position with 48 points.  Highlight of the game is AC Milan forward Alessio Cerci scoring his first goal as a Milan player and defender Philippe Mexes playing his 100th game with Milan.

A disappointing result is the draw at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium with Inter 1 – 1 Parma.  Surely, Inter fans upset seeing their team unable to defeat Parma who are in the last position of the table.   Pressure continuing for coach Roberto Mancini to see a consistent winning path.

The top scorer up to Round 29: Juventus forward Carlos Tevez with 17 goals.
