MILANELLO – Former Rossoneri shot-stopper Zeljko Kalac was at Milanello earlier today. During his visit, the Australian also took the time to speak to the Milan Channel, offering his thoughts on the past and the future in between the sticks:
“It’s always nice to come back to Milanello, especially after such a long time. It’s always a pleasure. I know a lot of the staff and Abbiati and Abate are still here from the playing side. Abbiati has had an incredible career and it’s only right that he ended it here. He achieved some immense things here. Donnarumma is extraordinary and he has a future at the highest levels ahead of him. He’s enjoyed a good season and he now has to keep it going. They sometimes say that a tall goalie struggles to get to ground for the low saves, but that’s not always the case. Dida was really fast and that was vital. I was also quick and Donnarumma certainly has a bright future ahead of him. This team is of a really high level in attack and it’s nice to see it try and play in an offensive manner. I think Juventus are a top team, but if the players attack the way the coach wants then they can make life hard for them. It’s great to see Brocchi in charge. These new coaches want to try and carry out their ideas. He favours an attacking approach and I hope the team can win on Saturday.”

It’s a chance for our youngsters to have a finger in the pie by collaborating according to the rules, but also by learning to follow their imagination. The objective? To try out different and extremely useful approaches in an educational course, to test themselves in unusual and stimulating contexts. Feedback from participating adolescents about the situations that emerge is positive and similar to that of activities in the field. Also here, the various passages are managed by a workshop specialist and supported by the educator who works with the youngsters. Like the project’s sports activities, all meetings end with cleaning the premises by the entire group and, above all, a short discussion on what was experienced and learned.
The evening was rounded off with a toast: in fact, to end the workshop the youngsters together with the educator and specialist organized aperitifs for parents and other such “illustrious” guests as the project staff, the minister/priest of the host parish, and a group of gentlemen and bartenders active in the parish.
This is only one of the many activities of PLAY FOR CHANGE, the Fondazione Milan programme set up to help young people at risk find their path and fulfilment.

MILANELLO – The President Silvio Berlusconi spoke to the players earlier on today ahead of their TIM Cup final showdown with Juventus. These were the words of the Milan number 1: “Victory in the TIM Cup would give a new meaning to the season. You have to give everything you have inside, and more. It would be a big achievement for you and for Milan to obtain direct qualification to Europe, as well as allowing the club to win its 29th trophy in 30 years.”
