Roma take home a share of the points after a 2-2 draw against Bologna in Week 13 of Serie A 2015-16.

In a torrential downpour at the Stadio Dall’Ara in Bologna, both teams slugged it out for ninety minutes on a pitch that was made very heavy by the rain.

Adam Masina gave the home side the lead in the 14th minute and the Rossoblu held on to go in 1-0 up at the break. In the second half, the Giallorossi took the advantage with two penalties. Miralem Pjanic converted the first in the 52nd minute for his sixth goal in the league, while fellow Bosnian Edin Dzeko slotted home Roma’s second and his fourth of the season in the 72nd minute.

In the dying moments of the game, Bologna drew level from another penalty kick that was scored by former Giallorossi man Mattia Destro.

The result means Roma are currently level with Fiorentina and Inter – who both play tomorrow – at the top of the league on 27 points.

Roma are next in action in Serie A against Atalanta at 15:00 CET on Sunday 29 November at the Stadio Olimpico. Before that, however, there’s the small matter of a trip to Barcelona in the Champions League Week 5 Group E game on Tuesday.
