Beppe Iachini believes Fiorentina’s opening day clash against Torino at the Stadio Artemio Franchi will be a demanding curtain-raiser for this side as they look to get off to a good start in the 2020/21 Serie A season.
“The home game against Torino on the first day of the season will be a big test – both teams will want to start well,” said Iachini, reacting to the fixture announcement on Wednesday. “It would be great to have the fans there for the first match.
“All games in Serie A are important and all are difficult. We have to face every team at some point, so the most important thing is to be prepared and the best way to ensure that is to work hard and show determination, as we have been from the first day. For us, what matters right now is putting in maximum effort to make sure we’re ready for the start of the season.”
