AC Milan started the DIRECTV Soccer Champions Tour 2024 with a victory.  Milan defeated Manchester City on Saturday 27 July 2025 at Yankee Stadium in New York.   AC Milan triumphed over Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City with a score of 3-2, under the supervision of Gerry Cardinale.  Colombo’s double and Nasti’s goal were instrumental in securing the win.

The afternoon in the US brought an additional delight for Milanisti fans, as the Rossoneri emerged for the second half donning the new Away Kit from PUMA, which will be unveiled in detail shortly.  Despite a successful debut, marred only by Alessandro Florenzi’s knee injury, the team’s pre-season in Vienna has been progressing positively, especially in terms of the attacking prowess.

The squad’s performance, involving numerous players – both young and experienced, and Saelemaekers’ standout display against the English champions, sets a promising tone for the upcoming matches. The Tour will proceed with training, events, and preparations in the USA before facing Real Madrid on July 31 at Soldier Field in Chicago, followed by a match against Barcelona on August 6 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
