Montella: “Verona an attacking outfit. I want a strong finish to the season”

Here's a selection of Vincenzo Montella's views ahead of the game against Verona:

OPPONENTS – "Verona play an attacking style of football and they know how to make the most of Toni's ability as a target man. He uses his strength very well and is capable of nicking you a goal at any time."

TREATMENT ROOM – "Rebic and Mati Fernandez won't be in the squad and Gomez isn't training on the pitch yet. It's great to see Rossi out there again with his qualities as an individual and a footballer, but he's still not involved in full-contact training. We'll have to see how he progresses."

FORMATION – "The advantage of playing with the system we used against Udinese is that it gives me the chance to field more of the attacking midfielders we have in the squad."

999 – "Fiorentina are one win away from making it 1000 in Serie A. It will be nice when we do that but it's just a statistic. What matters most is winning consistently."

CUADRADO – "He's a player who has the skills needed to play in a number of positions. But I always look at the whole picture and I pick the team based on the eleven men I want to send out on the field."
