Napoli failing the mission to win the Europa League Round of 32, First Leg game against Granada on Thursday 18 February at the Estadio Municipal Nuevo Los Cármenes in Granada, Spain.   It’s a tough defeat and now will be up to the Second Leg to overturn the result and earn the qualification to the Quarterfinals.  Cheer up Napoli, you can do it.

  • This is the first European meeting for Granada with Napoli and with an Italian rival.
    This is the seventh knockout match in UEFA’s major European competition for Napoli against Spanish opponents; they made it through only one of their previous six: 6-1 aggregate victory over Valencia in the 1992/93 UEFA Cup first round.  Napoli have made it through only on one of seven occasions in which they have faced a Spanish side in UEFA competition in a knockout match: Valencia in the first round of the 1992/93 UEFA Cup.   Napoli have remained unbeaten in the last three away matches in European competitions (2W, 1N), the Neapolitans have not reached four since April 2015.
