Inter are playing in Group K and desperately need a victory in the next games to climb the standing or risk elimination.  Inter are currently in the last position without points after losing the first two games.  Inter ended the game playing with 10 players after Referee Artur Dias sent off defender Andrea Ranocchia in the 76th minute following a second yellow card.

Inter scoring the “honor goal” in the 71st minute with forward Rodrigo Palacio defeating Sparta Prague goalkeeper with a right footed shot in  the bottom right corner.  The assist is by Citadin Éder.    Sadly, Palacio’s goal was not enough and Inter succumbing in Czech Republic.  Inter will face Southampton on Matchday 3  on Thursday 20 October 2016 at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.
