Napoli failing to defeat Barcelona in the Champions League Round of 16, Second Leg game on Saturday 8 August 2020 at Camp Nou in Barcelona, Spain.  Barcelona, sadly, humiliated Napoli with an aggregate result of 4-2 eliminating Napoli.  Barcelona qualifying to the Champions League Quarterfinals.   It is just a sad day for Italian football.  It seems Napoli Coach Gennaro Gattuso could not make the team to climb the Everest!

Barcelona opening the score in the 10th minute.  Not a good start for Napoli!  It is Clément Lenglet to defeat Napoli goalkeeper David Ospina with a headed shot in the top left corner. Assisted by Ivan Rakitic with a cross following a corner  conceded by Kalidou Koulibaly.

Napoli suffering and there is another goal for Barcelona in the 23rd minute.  Lionel Messi punishing Napoli with a left footed shot in the bottom left corner.  The aggregate is 3-1.  An uphill battle and Gattuso must do something to wake up the team.

Napoli shortening the distance before ending the first half.  Forward Lorenzo Insigne giving a ray of hope after converting a penalty defeating Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen with a right footed shot in the bottom left corner.  The penalty is conceded by Ivan Rakitic after a foul on Napoli forward Dries Mertens inside the penalty area.
