Juventus making the official announcement sacking Coach Maurizio Sarri after one season on Saturday 8 August 2020.  Sarri was sacked a day after the elimination in the Champions League Round of 16.    Sarri won the 2019-2020 Serie A Scudetto with 83 points having only +1 point above Inter with 82 points in the 2nd position.

Juventus suffered during this season not being the consistent dominant.  Sarri deluded the team and fans.  We might consider the high expectation with poor results.  Sarri was signed on a three-year contract, but one season was enough to part ways.  Juventus claimed their 9th consecutive Scudetto on Week 36 after defeating Sampdoria. Ironically, Juventus lost their last 2 games ending with a sour note the last game of the season at the Allianz Stadium with a score of Juventus 1 – 3 AS Roma. Making matters worst, Juventus also defeated by Napoli in the Coppa Italia final.  Simply put, the poor results in top games Champions League and Coppa Italia were a flop, a failure.

“The club would like to thank the coach for having written a new page in Juventus’ history with the victory of the ninth-consecutive championship, the culmination of a personal journey that led him to climb all the divisions of Italian football.”
