Hello my friends. Here are the results of the Serie A Week 38 – Thirty-eighth Round on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May 2016.  This is the last round of the 2015 – 2016 Serie A season.

Summarizing.  Juventus won the Scudetto, the 5th consecutive.   Juventus and Napoli secured their direct participation in the 2015 – 2016 UEFA Champions League by ending the season in 1st and 2nd place, respectively.  AS Roma finished in the third position and a spot for the Champions League Playoff.     Juventus crowned as Italy’s Champions and celebrated in grand style by delighting their fans at the Juventus Stadium.  Juventus 5 – 0 Sampdoria.

As for the Europa League, Inter and Fiorentina securing their direct participation in the Europa League next season ending in 4th and 5th place.   Sassuolo with a historical qualification for the Europa League Playoff.  It is the first time that Sassuolo will be in a European competition.   A big failure here is for AC Milan who were looking to defeat AS Roma and hoping for Sassuolo to match the game against Inter.  Well, total blow for AC Milan.   Sassuolo defeated Inter and kept the 6th position.   Sassuolo 3 – 1 Inter

AC Milan lost the home game at the San Siro Stadium showing a poor performance.  Roma dominated the match showing better determination.   Sad news is that iconic AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati could not even play his last game after announcing he was retiring.  Abbiati was listed among the subs.   AC Milan 1 – 3 AS Roma

Napoli ending the season in grand style.   Spectacular game against Frosinone at the San Paolo Stadium.  Midfielder Marek Hamsik opened the score and then forward Gonzalo Higuain scoring a hat-trick.  Higuain broke the record of most goals in Serie A  breaking the record of AC Milan forward Nils Gunnar who had scored 35 goals in the 1949-1950 Season.   Higuain set a new record by scoring 36 goals now and ending as the Serie A Top Scorer this season.  Napoli defeating Frosinone:  Napoli 4 – 0 Frosinone

As far as the relegation zone to Serie B.   Carpi, Frosinone and Hellas Verona already relegated.  Palermo saved themselves and celebrated in grand style at the Renzo Barbera Stadium after defeating Hellas Verona.    Palermo 3 – 2 Hellas Verona

Empoli coach Marco Giampaolo directed his last game for Empoli after announcing he was leaving the team.

Udinese forward and iconic Captain Antonio Di Natale played his last game with Udinese.  Fans gathering at the Friuli Stadium to salute and thank the Captain.

Lazio forward Miroslav Klose also playing his last game with Lazio.  Fans gathering at the Olimpico to celebrate the “Klose Day.”   Klose played for Lazio 5 years.

The top scorer of the Serie A: Napoli forward Gonzalo Higuain with 36 goals
