Hello my friends. Here are the results of the Serie A Week 19 – Nineteenth Round on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January 2016.
What a roller coaster round! We have a change in the leadership! Yep, incredible so, Inter losing the home game at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium in the agonizing minute and going down from the 1st position to the 3rd position! Sassuolo seeing a miracle dream come true winning their first game at the Meazza after forward Domenico Berardi converted the winner penalty to claim the victory. Inter go down to the second position and Napoli is the new sole leader with 41 points after defeating Frosinone with a mega goleada 1 – 5.

A highlight in this round is seeing 5 teams losing their home games! Starting with Inter falling at the Meazza defeated by Sassuolo, Atalanta losing 0 – 2 against Genoa at the Atleti Azzurri d’Italia Stadium, Bologna losing at the Renato Dall’Ara Stadium against Chievo Verona with a 0-1, Frosinone losing at the Matusa Stadium with a mega goleada defeated by Napoli with a 1 -5, Hellas Verona losing at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium defeated by Palermo with a 0 – 1, and Torino losing at the Olimpico Stadium defeated by Empoli with a 0 – 1.
Carpi 2 -1 Udinese. The dream for salvation gaining momentum for Carpi after defeating Udinese at the Alberto Braglia Stadium. Carpi won their 3rd game this season and still remain in the 19th position.
Lazio causing an upset at the Artermio Franchi Stadium after opening the score in the 45th minute. Tough defeat because Fiorentina wasted the chance to keep up the race towards the first position being before the match at just -1 point below Inter. Fiorentina losing the 5th home game!
The awaited match Roma – Milan ending with a disappointing 1 – 1 draw. Roma fans were looking for a victory and at the end of the game just whistling and booing the squad. It’s a critical situation also for AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic unable to show a consistent performance and risking to be sacked.
