Hello my friends. Welcome to the Serie A 2015 – 2016!!!!   Here are the Serie A RESULTS Week 1 on Saturday 22, and Sunday 23 August  2015.   This is the first week of the Serie A and we are set to enjoy the season.  A recap.  Juventus are the defending Italy’s Champions.  The 3 teams who were promoted from Serie B are Bologna, Frosinone, and Carpi.   The 3 teams who were relegated to Serie B are Cagliari, Cesena, and Parma.

First surprise of the round is to see Juventus defeated at the Juventus Arena.  Yep, it’s just a bad start for this New Juventus losing the game after the goal by Cyril Thereau in the 78th minute.  It’s a historical defeat because Juventus had not lost a home game a game at the Juventus Arena before.. ouch!

Another upset is the draw of AS Roma unable to defeat Hellas Verona at the Marc’Antonio Bentegodi Stadium.   A good start is for city rivals, Lazio who defeated Bologna claiming the full 3 points.

Big flop is for AC Milan falling  at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.  The so-called “New Milan” failing big time to redeem themselves.  Milan starts the season with a defeat and being in the 19th position with a negative goal difference of -2.  The rossoneri playing with 10 players since the 36th minute after defender Rodrigo Ely got a second yellow card.   Simply put, bad debut for new Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.  and a great debut for Fiorentina new coach Paulo Sousa.

The top scorer up to Round 1:  Sampdoria forward Citadin Eder and Sampdoria Luis Muriel with 2 goals each.
