It’s a new start for both team. Fiorentina having a new coach Paulo Sousa and AC Milan also with new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic. Challenge is for AC Milan to redeem themselves this season after being out of European competition. Yet, it is just a nightmare for Milan starting teh season in the 19th position now… what a headache for President Silvio Berlusconi.
A slap for AC Milan failing big time to “redeem themselves” and falling badly at the Artemio Franchi Stadium. Milan playing with 10 players since the 36th minute after Referee Valeri giving a second yellow card to defender Rodrigo Ely.
Fiorentina opening the score in the 38th minute. Defender Marcos Alonso defeating AC Milan goalkeeper with a left footed shot from a free kick in the top left corner.
Making matters worst for the rossoneri, in the 55th minute, Referee Valeri giving a penalty to Fiorentina conceded by Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli after a foul on Josip Ilicic. It’s the same Ilicic to take the pealty spot and there you go.. bam! Ilicic defeating goalkeeper Lopez with a left footed shot in the bottom right corner.
