✅  Stats before the game: After the 2-0 in the first leg last December 17, Inter could win both seasonal matches against Lazio in Serie A for the first time since 2016/17. Inter have won their last two games against Lazio in the league and have not achieved consecutive successes against the Biancocelesti in Serie A since the period between 2008 and 2010: four in that case, with José Mourinho at the helm. Lazio’s last success against Inter at the Meazza in the league dates back to 31 March 2019 (1-0 with a goal from Sergej Milinkovic-Savic); since then, four consecutive victories for the Nerazzurri in home matches against the Biancocelesti in Serie A, with an overall score of 9-3. Inter have gained 92 points in 36 matches this season; in the event of success in both of the last two matchdays, the Nerazzurri would rise to 98 points, establishing their absolute record for points in a single Serie A season (exceeding the 97 of 2006/07). Inter have kept 21 clean sheets in a single championship for the first time in their history in Serie A; the Nerazzurri could also equal the absolute record for clean sheets in a season in the history of the tournament: 22, set by Milan in 1993/94 and equaled by Juventus in 2013/14, 2015/16 and 2017/18. Inter (101 goals in 2023/24) have scored at least 100 goals in each of the last five seasons in all competitions, after having reached this milestone only six times in the previous 88 seasons in their history (since 1929/30).
