Torino and Bologna ended the Serie A Week 35 game with a goalless draw on Friday 3 May 2024 at the Olimpico di Torino Stadium in Turin, Italy. This is the third consecutive 0-0 at home for Torino, the ninth of the season. However, Bologna are 5 points away from arithmetically qualifying for the Champions League

There was no lack of intensity and competitive spirit between Turin and Bologna. By far the most dangerous was Torino, who in the first half hit the crossbar with Sanabria and in the second half hit a prodigious Skorupski (decisive against Ilic). Great balance throughout the match, a point probably more useful to the rossoblù while the granata are unable to find success.

Bologna is also chasing Europe, as they want to crown a memorable season so far with the historic qualification for the Champions League. The rossoblù of the highly courted Thiago Motta present themselves at the Olimpico Grande Torino with a remarkable external performance, considering that the last defeat away from Dall’Ara dates back to January 14th. The search for the European dream continues for Ivan Juric’s Torino, currently 4 points behind Napoli and Fiorentina. However, the Granata are in a moment of decline having achieved only one victory in the last five championship games.

✅   Stats before the game. Bologna have won 45 of 131 Serie A matches against Torino (D40, P46), only against Roma (53) and Lazio (48) have the rossoblù achieved more successes against a single opponent in the tournament. After the 2-0 success in the first leg last November 27, Bologna could win both seasonal matches against Torino in Serie A for the first time since 1980/81 with Luigi Radice as coach of the Emilians. Torino have remained unbeaten in seven of their last eight home games against Bologna in Serie A (6W, 1D), the Rossoblù’s only success away from home against the Granata in the period dates back to 16 March 2019 (3-2). In April 2024 only Salernitana (one) obtained fewer points than Torino in Serie A (two in four matches); furthermore, the granata are the team that scored the fewest goals in the period (only two goals). Torino have not found a way to score in the last three Serie A matches, in this championship the Granata have already remained without scoring for four consecutive matches: between September and October 2023.
