Spezia, 17th position with 26 points and a negative goal difference of  -20

Lazio win the Serie A Week 30 game on Friday 14 April 2023 at the Alberto Picco Stadium in Spezia, Italy. Lazio does not intend to stop. Four consecutive victories against Rome, Monza, Juventus and now Spezia have consolidated the second place. The match was unlocked by a penalty awarded to Lazio, scored by Ciro Immobile who becomes the third player to reach double figures in at least seven consecutive seasons in Serie A with the same team. In the second half, Felipe Anderson changes the cards and with his flexibility manages to find the second goal. Closes the match Marcos Antonio who scores the first goal with the Lazio shirt. The Ligurians instead finish the game in 10: double yellow for Ampadu who will miss the next matchday.

Maurizio Sarri’s team is now -13 behind the leaders, followed instead by Roma at -8, waiting for the match against Udinese. The Biancocelesti have not lost since February 11, against Atalanta. From there, 8 consecutive useful results, including 7 victories. For Spezia, on the other hand, the opportunity to extend from the relegation zone vanishes. The Ligurians remain at 26 points.

A very important challenge in terms of salvation for Spezia: the next appointment will be in Marassi against Sampdoria, a match in which Semplici’s team will not want to make a mistake to increase the chances of remaining in Serie A. Lazio, on the other hand, is waiting for Torino at home.

Lazio opened the score in the 36th minute. Forward Ciro Immobile converted a penalty with a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. The penalty is conceded by Ethan Ampadu.

Lazio reinforced the victory by scoring in the 52nd minute. Felipe Anderson scored from very close range with a right-footed shot to the center.

Say no more. Lazio grabbed this away victory sealing the victory in the 89th minute. Marcos Antônio scored with a left-footed shot to the bottom left corner.

✅   Stats before the game. Lazio is one of the three teams against which Spezia have lost all their matches in Serie A: five defeats out of five against the biancocelesti, six against Juventus and one against Monza. Spezia have conceded six goals in two home games against Lazio in Serie A, an average of three per match; the Ligurians have a higher average of goals conceded at home only against Napoli (3.3).  In the last five league games, Spezia has never conceded more than one goal: for the Ligurians it is the best run without at least two goals conceded in Serie A. Spezia have remained unbeaten in their last three Serie A home games, with Leonardo Semplici on the bench; in the last two matches, the Ligurians have scored three goals, after having failed in the previous five. Lazio have won six of their last seven Serie A matches (D1): as many victories as in the previous 14 (D4, L4).

👉 Lineup SPEZIA (4-3-3): Dragowski; Amian, Ampadu, Nikolaou, Wisniewski; Bourabia, Ekdal, Esposito; Verde, Nzola, Gyasi.

👉 Lineup LAZIO (4-3-3): Provedel; Marusic, Casale, Romagnoli, Hysaj; Milinkovic, Cataldi, Luis Alberto; Felipe Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni.
