Fiorentina generated numerous chances in the first half, putting Fabregas's team under significant pressure. However, Como nearly had a golden chance to level the score late in the first half: the referee awarded a penalty after a collision in the box between Nicolussi Caviglia and Perrone. Yet, a VAR review overturned the referee's call, and the penalty was canceled. The Lombardy team came into the second half with a renewed mindset, while Fiorentina faltered. Como equalized in the 65th minute with a header from Kempf. In the end, both teams appeared capable of winning, but Como utilized the available space more effectively. Nico Paz delivered a long pass to Addai, who scored a stunning goal, clinching three crucial points for Fabregas's side.
