Inter failing to win the Serie A Week 3 game against Sampdoria on Sunday 12 September 2021 at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genova, Italy.  The draw is not a total good news for Inter ahead of their Champions League next week against Real Madrid.   Inter Coach Simone Inzaghi’s celebrates his 200th bench in Serie A with this draw (110 victories so far); only Antonio Conte (136) has won more after the same number of games between coaches in the era of three points per victory (since 1994/95).   Sampdoria grabbing this important point reaching 2 points while stopping the fast Inter train.

  • Inter have won seven of their last eight Serie A matches against Sampdoria: their only defeat came in the most recent match against the Sampdoria at Ferraris (2-1 last January).  Sampdoria could record at least two home wins in a row against Inter for the second time in Serie A, after three home wins against the Nerazzurri between 1989 and 1991.  Sampdoria has collected a point in the first two games of this championship, but without scoring any goals. In its history in Serie A, the Sampdoria team has always scored at least one goal in the first three games of the season.
Inter have always found the goal in their last 21 league games; only four times have the Nerazzurri done better in their history in Serie A: the last in 2009 (23 in that case).
Sampdoria is the team that has made the most attacking recoveries in this league: 24, of which only three have resulted in conclusions.

Inter opening the score in the 18th minute. It is Federico Dimarco to defeat Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero with a left footed free kick shot to the top left corner.

Sampdoria equalizing for the 1-1 in the 33rd minute. It is Maya Yoshida to defeat Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic 2ith a left footed shot to the bottom left corner following a corner conceded by Hakan Calhanoglu.

Inter taking the lead again in the 45th minute before ending the first half. It is Argentinean forward Lautaro Martínez with a left footed shot to the bottom left corner. The assist is by Nicolò Barella following a fast break.

Sampdoria fighting back and equalize in the 47th minute for the 2-2. It is Tommaso Augello to score with a left footed shot to the top left corner. The assist is by Bartosz Bereszynski with a cross.
